ColourPop Haul
If you don’t know about Colourpop, NOW YOU KNOW: It’s a drugstore-priced online makeup store that is sweeping the world. It can be daunting to purchase things you can’t test out and wait for them to come, but I swear it’s worth it. They recently had a 20% off sale and I picked up lots of things. FYI I didn’t get more lip things or eyeshadows because I’ve got plenty from previous orders. This was mostly about their new products.
First of all, what a cute note (and lots of info about the products).
As you can see I opened this stuff in a hurry on my bed.
I bought 2 eyebrow pencils, 2 gel eyeliners, and a new Matte X lippie stick.
From L-R is liner in “Get Paid” (a metallic rose gold) and “Prance” (a baby blue), eyebrow pencil in “Redhead” and “Arched Auburn”, and Matte X lippie stix in “Trust Me...”.
The gel liners are fantastically pigmented and long wearing, though the packaging is a little flimsy. The eyebrow pencils also seem great, though the shade for redheads is way too dark for me- I’m glad I got a second alternative. The matte x formula is definitely way more powdery-matte than their regular matte lippie stix, but still comfortable to wear. Of course I chose a classic red, but there are more interesting colors.
Then I wanted to grab 2 more of the ultra matte liquid lipsticks and a highlight.
From L-R (or top to bottom) is Tulle and Beeper, and the highlight in “Lunch Money”.
I don’t love the formula of these ultra mattes- they’re extremely drying- but they have some of the best shades out there and on sale came in at less than $5 a pop. I went for some of the more trendy shades- Tulle, a deep reddish brown, and beeper- a kylie jenner esque brown-nude. The highlight formula is similar to Colourpop’s eyeshadows- in that it’s almost a cream to powder situation that I would probably use my fingers with. This specific shade is a champagne-gold that is beautiful on fair skin.
