emmeline essex was a carbon copy of her father when it came to entertainment. the woman carried herself differently to how she had the previous months, all because she was in such an environment she was used to. nothing about leaving the essex corporation had been easy and her resignation had taken her years to push. it was always a peculiar arrangement and the woman was beginning to realise she never quite got close to escaping it all. flashing a smile at the closest person, emmeline hummed. “exquisite party, is it not? i did have my doubts but it seems professor xavier has quite the eye.” she chuckled.

the slow machine people called a computer was really testing lavinia’s patience so when the document finally loaded, she found herself forcefully pressing the keys out of frustration. she made it a few seconds before it froze and she started to tap the enter key, getting more and more forceful as nothing budged. “you have got to be kidding me.” she growled under her breath.

THE CRUSADE.
The Crusade’s influence began in Europe in the mid 1800s’. With the influx of humans beginning to settle more throughout the world, the way of life for the supernatural ( also known as myths ) became increasingly difficult. Matthias Floros began the foundation of The Crusade ; the name for him meaning the subtle war between the supernatural and the mundane. With the aid of other higher deities they forged a network and support system to aid myths with integrating them into mundane society.
Matthias strongly believes myths need to evolve with the world, yet firmly stands with the warning that myths also need to remain hidden. The Crusade integrates mundanes through the use of their international monopoly. They own hospitals, banks, pharmacies, restaurants, housing, and many other establishments used in daily mundane life. Only they’re run by myths, but are so discreet that even the mundane could use their services. The Crusade identifies their own through their own identification system– similar to IDs or social security. These are used to be of aid to those who are immortal, and need to have a license renewed ; among other unique needs as well.
The Crusade’s previous headquarters was in Florence, Italy until the birth of the new world, and the influx of immigrant myths, flooded to the United States. As of the early 2000s’ The Crusade moved their primary headquarters to New York City. Where they continue their operations of giving the myth society a peaceful life internationally. There’s one headquarter for nearly every continent or major country, including: London, Cairo, Cape Town, Moscow, New Delhi, Beijing, Tokyo, Los Angeles, Ottowa, and Brasilia.
Although not all is what it’s made out to be. Some of their services also include detaining unruly myths. These myths are often seen as a threat to the secrecy and peace the Crusade has made for their perfect world. The imprisonment being in their headquarters or other primary establishments around the world.
They also specialize in discreetly eliminating hunters. Primarily the faction Cosmic Order. Who are the Crusade’s and myth kinds most prevalent threat.
Other notes:
The Crusade has had god entities join its ranks. Primarily individuals on the board, but these gods have moved on to their own devices.
Matthias is rumored to have a biological daughter. She’s often seen with him for mundane press events, but her face is always covered.
The Crusade funds the Gear Shift. Since the bar tracks in many esteemed individuals and partners they find the myth bar to be highly valuable.
