Mutsu-centric fic

where we explore the struggles and doubts she has as a woman being the Prince's bodyguard. I can guess that people in the court would doubt her not only because of gender norms (women shouldn't be/aren't capable of fighting) but also because she is a woman without any royal background and mustn't be allowed so close to the prince. The only reason they don't openly express these concerns or do anything is because it would be against the Lord Daigo's wishes, but they talk about it nonetheless. Some of them even having the guts to sneer and remind her that the only reason the Lord allow peasants like her (and Hyogo) to live such privileged lives is because they are mere meat sheilds used only to protect the Prince.

It could even be a possibility that Mutsu herself has these doubts, most likely from hearing the gossip so often and wonders whether or not she really is strong and competent enough to protect the son of the lord who saved her and her brother's lives.

Bonus points if Hyogo and/or Tahomaru know what's up and goes to reassure Mutsu and confront the court members about it (with Tahomaru thundering in with a whole ass lecture and threatens to personally kick all of them out if they ever DARE to disrespect a member of the royal family like that again).

BONUS x2 if Mutsu and Hyogo saw Tahomaru's love and passion for them and just clutches their hearts and 100% accepting to protect this precious baby boy to hell and back (which they technically did but let's not talk about that).

BONUS x3 if Mutsu seeks counseling from lady Nui (who 100% welcomes it) and they bond over being amazing badass women living in a household where men make deals with devils left and right.

BONUS x4 for my guilty pleasure Tahomutsu ship where Mutsu started developing felings for the young lord and was like "is this allowed? Is that allowed??" bonus angst if she tried to force herself to get over it because she knows this would just prove that those narrow minded court members were right about her and she was better than this. (bonus bonus she goes to Hyogo and he's like "you too huh")

BONUS x5 if ep22 never happened, Mutsu is cured, Taho makes up with big bro and they all live happily with Nui and Jukai post ep24 as farmers (Hyakkimaru's neighbors perhaps?). Tahomaru now tells Mutsu and Hyogo to stop calling him Young Lord and live as equals, just as actual best friends would. And so they became an OT3 that live happily ever after.

Please just give me a good fix-it fic.
