Had this one in my WIPs for literal years... I started playing HK again recently so I decided to finish this concept in some form! Here is Mauld as a character in Hollow Knight.
A musician forced to retire after a terrible to their left arm. They picked up the art of the long nail / needle to arm themselves for a long journey in search of a way to play music again like they used to.... They’d probably be an NPC with a two path quest, depending on if you manage to help them or leave them be.
