So, I was in a PUG group and we were running Mauradon. One of the DPS (a Pandaren Monk: irony at it's finest) starts going on about how "Vanilla was the best" and "Everything's been nerfed; we would've died if that was Vanilla", all the while he was in BOA gear.
Now, I have played off and on since Vanilla and I was in BOA gear also, but come on dude. Really?
So I responded, in a most eloquent way, "Yeah, right? I totally miss having to fly all the way towards Stromwind/Ogrimmar because the other capitols didn't have banks or auction houses. Oh, and I miss having to walk to EVERY single dungeon or raid I'd want to do and having the possible chance to not do it because someone would drop out. Let's also not forget having to wait forever to get my epic GROUND mount, because flying mounts didn't exist back then lol"
And I think I broke him. Well, I WAS playing my female undead lock and I think he thought I was some "hardcore gamer girl" because he said sexist comments...and then he left in a nerd rage.
Get over it people. Vanilla was just the beginning in the legacy of WoW.
