@send-trees-plz I TOLD YOU I’D DO IT I’M NO COWARD
*coughs* previously on mauri can’t draw proper shoes
uh anyways like many of you have probably seen, i am currently hyperfixated on epithet erased, so this was inevitable... if i ever get a half-decent work ethic i might try drawing them in the show’s style but for now? have some (a lot of, sorry in advance) info. this took over 2 hours to figure out so i hope you’re happy
-their last name is regulus because *stars*
-they work at an observatory (not a cool scientific one, one of those ones with a gift shop and big dome where you stare up at the ceiling for 40 minutes while some british dude tells you about space) where they teach kids about different celestial bodies, primarily by using their epithet
-(the hoodie is from the gift shop and their manager thought that even if it’s not in the dress code, it fits their entire aesthetic so it’s an exception)
-(no one knows how they got away with sweatpants and sneakers though)
-their entire room is just covered almost wall to wall with sᴛᴏʟᴇɴ ᴀɴᴛɪǫᴜᴇ ᴘʜᴏᴛᴏs those glow in the dark stars you can buy for like 10 bucks. they’re E V E R Y W H E R E
-BIIIIIG soft spot for children. if one accidentally calls them “Mr/Miss Regulus” (”miss” is more common due to their hair) they’ll just gently say something like “just Erin is fine” and move on
-just a tired 20-something trying to pay for college (they’re majoring in astronomy for obvious reasons)
-absolutely willing to punch neglectful (*LOUD COUGH* MARTIN)/generally bad parents even if it ends with a trip to HR
-mkay now for actual epithet info
-as shown in the image, their epithet is “Galactic”
-whenever they use it, their hair floats around them, gains a bunch of white stars (but dots like they appear in the night sky as opposed to the kind of cartoony stars in Molly’s hair) and the dyed part actually looks like a galaxy! their eyes also appear to change colors when their abilities are in effect, from blue to purple to pink and back again...
-general uses other than combat:
-celestial body summoning - can summon small versions of celestial bodies like stars, planets (NO ACTIVE ECOSYSTEMS THIS ISN’T HORTON HEARS A WHO), moons, and the like. the sizes range from about the size of a cherry up to a sphere ~2-3 feet in diameter (though the bigger ones can’t be maintained for more than 5 minutes). these obviously aren’t as dense/exude as much heat as ACTUAL stars/planets/moons because that would be Bad™
-gravity changing - this ability either causes gravity to be stronger, immobilizing opponents in combat, or weaker, allowing targets to float into the air. this can’t be maintained for too long, only a max of about 10 minutes (but Erin normally only uses it for a few seconds)
-attacks/techniques (?) i came up with at 10:30 at night so they’re bad and i had to google astronomical terms to name them:
-(they didn’t need to name these but they thought the names they thought of were cool and just... went with it)
-Meteor Shower - a large group of meteorites about the size of baseballs appear and dart towards a maximum of 3 targets. these deal minimal damage on their own but there are a LOT of them...
-Planet Hopper - Erin alters their own gravity to allow themselves to float into the ground, then summons multiple large planets that they use to propel themselves to higher ground. they then either keep floating for a bit longer or reset their own gravity to touch back down.
-Retrograde - hard to maintain for more than 5 minutes. 6 planets and 6 stars the size of volleyballs in an alternating pattern appear around Erin, forming a ring that rotates clockwise. the planets are used defensively, deflecting attacks or pushing opponents away. the stars, meanwhile, are just a slightly weaker version of:
-Solar Flare - one or more stars of varying sizes appear and fire a beam of solar energy at its target. these are used in tandem with planets in Retrograde, as mentioned above.
-Star Cluster - many small stars gather around Erin, surrounding them and burning anyone who touches it. think of it like Sylvie’s sheep shield thing but with an offensive twist!
-Black Hole - (disclaimer: not an actual extremely destructive black hole) Erin summons a small “black hole” that draws all unsecured objects towards it, then keeps them there.
-Supernova - Erin’s most powerful attack, but very taxing on the user. can be used on its own, but often used after Black Hole. a large star is summoned, then explodes, dealing a bunch of damage. if used in tandem with Black Hole, then the target is trapped by the black hole, then the black hole explodes at point-blank range. they’re annoyed that the strategy doesn’t line up with the actual way supernovas and black holes work, but hey, if it works, it works!
and uh i guess i should put @jelloapocalypse? sorry if you’re constantly getting spammed with these and don’t want any more and i’m just contributing to the problem,,
i pray to god that this is the last time i remake skye’s ref,, i don’t like the drawing too much but hey this is just a ref sheet it doesn’t matter
but yeah this is the new way i’m gonna make refs? it took me 2-3 hours so hopefully i might be able to finish a lot in a short amount of time (1 every 1-2 days if i get a good attention span, not guaranteed though). i’m gonna start leaving out bios so as to not have to make a wall of text, but i will probably make a google doc or something with backstory info and whatnot
