HAIR STYLE / COLOR - Black and straight, tend to wear it in braids

CLOTHING  STYLE - Trends butch, will wear a dress on occasion. Has a set of “casual” armor, “just for hanging out” 

BEST  PHYSICAL  FEATURE -  Has great legs, when they decide to wear a skirt

FEARS - drowning (they can’t swim), what’s going to happen when they outlive everyone

GUILTY  PLEASURE - red meat (can’t eat it due to iron content), Italian food (b/c of their pride in being Greek)

BIGGEST  PET  PEEVE -  when people don’t take them seriously after they switch to Serious Mode

That Is The Question || Drabble

The fire burned high and Ariel and Mavros were bickering, yet again.

“I am merely saying that it would be better to not be in that situation,” Ariel said.

“One can only be so prudent when dealing with the gods,” Mavros said. “You would outright ignore a summons from Zeus himself? I’m not even certain that’s possible.”

Puck wandered into the conversation while watching the stars. Orion was chasing the Pleiades again, and he sought to escape the chill when he noticed the others’ conversation.

“What’s this about?” he asked.

“Paris’ Apple,” Mavros said. “Ariel has decided to take the path of ‘I’d rather not.’“

“Not deciding is a valid position,” Ariel said.

“Are you Socrates?” Mavros asked. “You remember what they did to him, right?”

“Neither of us are old enough to remember Socrates, and there is no right choice,” Ariel said.

“That’s not quite so,” Puck said.

“What do you mean?” Ariel asked. “No matter who was chosen, the other two would make your life miserable.”

Puck waved their hand, conjuring a golden fruit amidst bronze sparks. He lobbed it over to Ariel, who fumbled with it for a moment before holding it in his palm.

“I move the question,” Puck said. “What is thy choice?”

“I...” Ariel stared at the apple, turning it over a few times in his hand. “I suppose Athena. Wisdom, intelligence, crafting, strategy-- ‘tis a beauty that never ages nor fades.”

“Oh, please,” Mavros said, snatching the apple away from him. “It’s obviously Hera. There’s a reason she’s queen of the gods, and in any case, she mitigates the consequences. To earn her favor is no small feat, and even if Aphrodite withholds all love, marriage is Hera’s domain, and far more advantageous.”

“Exactly the words a parent wants to hear from their child,” Puck drawled. The apple flew out of Mavros’ hand and back to Puck’s. “You are both wrong, by the way.”

“Paris can’t have been right,” Mavros said.

“Of course he wasn’t, he was an idiot,” Puck said. “But at least he understood the question.”

“The apple was inscribed with ‘For the fairest’,” Ariel said. “Is it not a question of beauty?”

“The inscription was by Eris, who wanted to start a fight at a party,” Puck said. “While I understand her sentiment, that is not the question Paris was forced to answer.”

“It was about desire,” Mavros said. “The offerings of the goddesses.”

“Exactly,” Puck said. “And Paris was an idiot if he thought taking the wife of a Spartan king was a good idea. Ariel, thou chose with caution and wisdom, both things Athena would commend thee for, but I know thy heart’s desire and waging war is far from it.”

Ariel looked away.

“Mavros, my son, as always thou art blinded by thine ambition,” Puck continued. “Thou art correct to value a blessing from Hera, but to think that love can be so divorced from marriage is unwise considering the path to the power thou doth seek.”

“And what is your choice?” he asked. “If all three are wrong, who can it be?”

“She who is at the heart of all.”

Puck threw the apple into the fire and the flames leaped and sparked.

“I choose Hestia,” he said.

Ghosts of the Past || Drabble

Puck was walking through the woods. She gripped her sword tightly, and unease washing over her with the mist. The wind was warm, like the radiant heat of a fire, and the ground seemed to move. There was a hand on her shoulder and she turned, raising her sword. She froze.

“...Father?”

The man’s dark eyes were piercing. She dropped the weapon, backing away.

“What is this?” she asked. “What do you want?”

He said nothing. His face was hardened by sadness.

“Father, please!”

“There’s nothing left to say.”

The voice came from behind her, and she turned.

“Adam,” she hissed. She grabbed her sword from the ground and moved to attack him. He moved and she missed, and he grabbed her arm.

“Did you really think any of this would make your worthless life mean something?” Adam asked. “Look!”

He turned her and she was looking off the edge of a cliff over a battle. The land was burning and the sky was red and blood flowed like the Styx.

“All you can do is mess up,” he said. “All you are is this-- chaos and destruction. You would never amount to anything, and you knew this, but who would think you would cause so much pain?”

He pushed her off the edge and she tried to fly, but she couldn’t, her wings would not respond. She landed in a place of darkness.

“It’s not true, it’s not true...” she muttered.

“Of course it’s not true.”

Robin looked up and her mother smiled at her.

“But I’ve caused so much pain,” Robin said.

“You have had terrible decisions given to you,” her mother said. “And you’ve done what you could with them. But you have also done great things. And Ariel and Mavros love you so much, and I could not be prouder.”

“I couldn’t save you.”

Her mother kissed Robin’s forehead. “You never needed to, my little bird.”

[New Steven Universe AU under the cut!]

Puck is a Ruby, whose gem is over her heart and can summon a sword as her weapon. Despite being the smallest of the three renegade gems, she is the de-facto leader, being the oldest. She is fierce and loyal to those that are loyal to her, and retains her original verse’s trickster streak.

Ariel is a Sapphire, whose gem is on her forehead and can summon a bo staff as her weapon. She is the voice of reason of the group, and the one who reaches out the most to the humans near by wherever the three go. She has studied their medicine and finds it fascinating how humans heal without regenerating completely.

Mavros is a Black Onyx, whose gem is on her right palm. She was once an Agate, but was forced into being experimented on in a Kindergarten, where she was turned into an Onyx. As a result, she cannot summon a weapon. She was locked away and later found by Ruby and Sapphire during the war.

Of course, Ruby and Sapphire can fuse to form a Garnet, though their Garnet has four arms and eyes. Garnet’s weapon is a glaive.

After Ruby and Sapphire found Onyx, the three deserted, hiding away from the war until it was over. They did not align with Rose Quartz out of fear that she would be just like the Diamonds.  Now stranded on Earth, they wander around mostly aimlessly, wrecking Homeworld stuff, avoiding Kindergartens, and mostly hiding from those that might harm them, particularly Onyx.

“Glinda and… Mavros?!?“ They started to laugh. “There are a lot of things I could see happening– Glinda going back to Fiyero, Mavros and Elpis getting married, hell, even Mavros and Ariel have more chemistry than the two of them. I’m not exactly worried about my son trying to steal my wife.”
