As the king and queen began to dance and the music started, Puck was watching from a distance, sitting up in a tree. His work was done— the pompous weaver returned to his form unchanged, Oberon and Titania finished with their fight (as far as he knew), and the foolish mortals all put in the correct order. It had been quite a long night, and this celebration had certainly been earned. He rested his head on the trunk, watching the other fairies go about their revels. He closed his eyes.
