Many would call it progress, but one could argue for the aesthetic superiority of a neon pink block.

Inspired by futuristic racing games like F-Zero, Max Impulse takes racers to a variety of terrains across the universe, from Heaven’s Gate on a gas giant, to Devil’s Tongue, which has players racing on and around a volcano. The aim is to go beyond the racetrack though, by not only giving players interesting tracks to race their gravity-defying machines, but also by creating interesting characters and stories behind the races.

As we near the end of our Kickstarter campaign, it's becoming clear that we will not be able to reach our goal. But never fear, for this is not the end of Max Impulse! We still plan on continuing and finishing the game by our deadline, no matter what costs or challenges that may come our way. Luckily, you wonderful backers can still help through our Paypal donation option located on our website. Please don't feel pressured to continue to donate, but also know that we would greatly appreciate any amount that we can receive from you all. And don't worry, any donation that you pledged to this campaign on Kickstarter will not be charged if it fails. It's heavily advised that if you do donate through Paypal, please wait until after the end of the Kickstarter on the morning of Oct. 17th - just in case!
If you are still interested in receiving the rewards that we have listed on our Kickstarter page, we will still provide them upon request, although the exact reward may change slightly depending on cost.
Once again, our team cannot thank you all enough for your support and patience with us. Reaching even this much of our goal is encouraging, and helps us take even greater pride in our work. Without all of the wonderful people that have advised and supported us along the way, who knows where we would be at now. And remember, if you have any questions, just ask!

Our Kickstarter is in the final 10 days!
This looks really cool! I'd donate to your kickstarter, but I have no money to donate with... So I guess all I can do is say keep up the good work! I can't wait til this is finished!
That’s totally fine! Like most game developers creating a game they’re passionate about, our ultimate goal is to see people enjoying our game. Hearing that really makes us happy, so thank you! :D
How long have you made games? Also, what engine and/or programming languages are you using?
Our team members range from about 2-4 years experience in making games. We are using Unity3D and the game is currently coded in Javascript.
But, (this is the programmer Amanda speaking) I’m thinking of changing the code over to C# since I think it will be better for the racer system and for organizational purposes. One thing that will help this switch is that we plan to buy NGUI soon and I’m really excited for how much easier it will be to do the HUD and menus.
