Rayne, a man of action rather than words—his shocking move?!

This is an illustration I drew last July!

ーーー

Rayne was participating in a photo shoot for a famous magazine in the magical world.

He had been chosen as the model for their annual, highly popular Bridal Special—a major spotlight for someone who had only recently become a Divine Visionary.

☔: (Why the hell do I have to do this?)

Despite his internal grumbling, he remained professional and finished the shoot without a hitch.

"Great work today, Rayne-san! You can keep the outfit as a gift!"

His first instinct was to decline—he didn't exactly have a use for it—but then the face of his best friend flashed through his mind.

He had been nursing a complicated, unrequited crush on him for six long years.

☔: (...Maybe I’ll use this outfit to propose to Max.)

☔: "Max, marry me."

🎈: "Wait, where is this coming from?! (Did some weird switch flip inside him during that photo shoot...?)"

...For the time being, they decided to start by just dating.

☔: (I am definitely going to marry him, no matter what.)

I'm also posting a night version without dialogue (it feels a bit more romantic, doesn't it?)!

Was looking at Carpaccio's wiki page again. This guy has some funny stuff from the fanbook:

"I don't know or imagine" could mean many things like being gay, but for this guy I'm squarely on aro-ace. He also dislikes fish dishes while in house Orca which funny with how contradictory it is. (Yes, orca aren't fish but for some cultures everything that's in the sea is a fish, so.)

I find Carpaccio's comment about Finn just plain hilarious. For Max it's interesting because I, like many others, thought that Carpaccio's interest in human connections would be channelled through Finn, but Komoto decided on another person and that's why we see Carpaccio and Max at the end of the manga walking side by side.

Because Carpaccio forgets to eat and sleep when he's in the middle of doing research, he passes out sometimes which gives Margarette the opportunity to princess-carry him into his bed.

The incident with Kaldo is hilarious again. Carpaccio's magical abilities activate on their own, so when he stubbed his toe the person unfortunate enough to be closest to him received his pain, which was a divine visionary in this case. Now I'm wondering if students and teachers fear being too close to him because of things like this.

Imagine that someone else will always receive his pain, regardless of how far away that person might be. That boy never felt pain until Mash came around so the pain of every stubbed toe, accidental bite of his tongue, finger burned, knees scraped, hand caught in a drawer, etc, etc, went to his parents and neighbours and the mail man and the woman who walked her dog a kilometre away from him.

You'd think growing up without experiencing pain and being chosen as a special wizard by a powerful artefact would already mess with someone's head especially when you're a child. But the secondary effect of his magical power would make living with and close to him a torturous experience, too, which in turn would create an environment that would also mess a child up.

Edit:

Carpaccio's magic is titled Bounds in the wiki. I'm 95% sure it should be Bounce instead as it makes more sense.
