I'm surprised I haven't seen this trend to Ben 10 yet, so here's mine!

Ben, Jake and Juniper being a trio of "don't understimate their grandparents"

haha YES basically!

All three of their grandparents are so deceptively nice looking, 'typical 'grandparents on the first impressions (Max is this big genteel old man with his warm southern charm, Jasmine is a like a typical small plump old lady who will pinch your cheeks and slip you candy when no one is looking, and Lao Shi is literally a tiny frail old man who is always ready to dish out some old man wisdom and listen to your troubles), but literally all of them can kick ass so freaking hard. The rule of 'be afraid of an old man in a young man's profession' certainly applies to all of them.

It's also funny because in HoM AU, Jasmine, Lao Shi and Max kinda all know each other! It was one of the first headcanons I made because it made me giddy to have universes connect through older generations. They were not friends in their more active younger years, but they all were aware of each other's existence. Only now that they are older, and thanks to their grandchildren, did they find some form of friendship.

Old people making new friends to hang out with is just so nice to think about. UwU

2 decades ago today my favorite show aired on Cartoon Network and I haven't been the same since. I still vaguely remember one summer day going to a green school I was signed up to and seeing all the kids huddled up in front of the TV watching something intently. I joined them to see what it was all about and that's when I was first introduced to this franchise. Needless to say, it then quickly dug itself into my brain and never let go. Happy 20th Anniversary, Ben 10! 💚
