Random event. They bicker, I’m not really used to writing that so this is practice.

Ben’s spells often manifests as items, his current favorite being a baseball bat for hitting stuff and the (aesthetic only) mic for humor.

Ghostfreak is exactly the same as in canon no changes, this is because he is a magic aligned alien (with his rituals and mana colored eyes) that the prototype Omnitrix is glitchy/has trouble with and Zs’Skayr being kinda alive isn’t able to be gender bent, the greyskin form is gender neutral enough Gwen technically doesn’t register it, but Gwen feels even more off than Ben prime does transforming into Ghostfreak and uses him even less.

Ben and Grandpa Max notices the avoidance but Gwen can’t properly explain why.

I guess for now, I’m calling this the 10tennysons Au since Gwen’s side of the family (4) +Ben’s side (3) +Verdona+Max+Sunny = exactly 10 Tennysons will show up here

Hi, I really liked your Gwen 10 and Ben Anodite fanfic. I'm curious about something: generally, Anodites are kind of souls that can exist without a body, as demonstrated in the episode "The Ultimate Sacrifice" and "Enemy of My Frenemy." Is that also the case in this AU? If so, did igniting the Spark permanently alter Sunny and Ben's souls? Also, what's the difference between a Sparkling and an Anodite, and how does the loss of humanity that Gwen was susceptible to work if her physical body were destroyed and she became a full Anodite?(Sorry if this is bothering you, I really liked your art)

This Au is very much on the brainstorming stage (it doesn’t have a real name yet), somethings might change or might not make much sense so I can’t give concrete answers but currently…

Full Anodites are immortal energy beings here.

Sparklings in the case of the Tennysons are Humans with the Spark, they have some Anodite powers and have the option of leaving behind their humanity (skin and all) to become fully Anodite.

The fact that they were fully human first makes turning fully Anodite a bad time no exceptions (Sunny despite what she’d like to think is not an exception, her bad time is just more delayed… uh now that I think about… that is if almost killing your cousin minutes after turning full Anodite counts as delayed), it messes with their very being and Verdona being born fully Anodite can’t really help much with this.

Honestly I loved that Ben and Gwen (by default Sunny) looked so similar yet so different to each other.

Because Sunny here is human, Ben and Sunny are each other’s favorite cousins, at least until Sunny had enough of earth and decided to leave the moment she became an Anodite, she tried to take Ben with her to Verdona, who she could sense, but didn’t consider that Ben was still human and flying(the only ability she currently knew) to space at great speeds is kinda gonna effect him badly.

Thankfully Gwen noticed what she was doing and stopped her.

I’m trying to find the right style to draw this Au in.

The aliens with different colors will stay their own colors, example: heat blast and wildmutt will mostly remain unchanged, but every green leaning alien will be changed to teal/blue and the ones with Ben’s clothes with be changed into Gwen’s.

lol, Imagine being Max or Gwen in this situation (This would be the first time Ben uses Mana in this Au)

The Anodite lore I’ll be using is my own version:

Natural Anodites are born when something on their planet makes a certain “Spark” because of this they don’t have DNA, as beings made of pure energy they are compatible with almost every species because they can change to match their love.

Mostly they live their immortal existence having adventures on their own, they don’t really have families often.

Despite loving their families, when they do decide to have them, they tend to leave behind their short life spans family before anyone dies (often even earlier) and only comes back if they believe or sense any descendants born with a “Spark” or what they consider ‘Family that they get to keep’ you know cus if they aren’t Anodites they die.

While that’s technically mostly canon, the biggest difference in my version is that no one is born with a Spark, it is a misunderstanding made from never really staying with the families they start.

Natural Anodites are born from a Spark.

Anodite descendants can spark a “Spark” via metaphorical “flint and steel” and far enough removed in the family tree from the Anodite, the descendants lose even that ability.

So in my version Gwen prime gained her “Spark” the moment her magic turned from blue to pink. Her “flint and steel” in this case being the adventure that was the roadtrip “flint” and using magic without any charms “steel”. The future Gwen they met that summer wasn’t an Anodite, this because she relied on charms so much that magic never became her “steel” and the fact, between Ben and Gwen, Ben had the Anodite personality. What I mean is Verdona, Sunny, Gwen and Ben who is the odd one out? It’s Gwen.

“Flint” will always be something about adventure. “Steel” will be different from person to person. This is why Carl and Frank (prime) are not Anodites they had neither.

The prototype Omnitrix accidentally stops the Anodite Spark. This is because the prototype is too susceptible to Mana and Magic, think ghost freak, it’s a safety feature. Ultimate Ben is an Anodite because he no longer had the prototype.

“Steel” is easier the more compatible you are with Anodite nature. Gwen took charmless magic with no shortcuts while traveling because she’s not that compatible, Sunny and Ben already had everything they needed their “Steel” would just be the knowledge to want the power.

Sunny in my version (because honestly I’m not that familiar with the canon explaination) is also human here, related to Ben and Gwen by Max and Verdona’s third child, Sunny only gained the “Spark” after finding about Gwen, because really that’s the only thing she needed to get the Spark.

Above I use Anodite for everything so it also makes sense to others, With the 7 Tennysons, I want to categorize them:

Anodite: Verdona, Sunny

✧ Sparklings: (^Sunny), Ben

Nature-incompatible Anodite descendants: Carl, Frank, Gwen10, mysterious Sunny parent

✧ Sparklings are just people with the Spark that hasn’t fully committed to being an Anodite; think Gwen prime as an example, they aren’t immortal yet.

One of the dad is going to get their Spark despite their incompatibility in this AU, I love angst but for now don’t worry too much about that.
