     “Max!” Surprised, but not at all unpleasantly so, by her boyfriend’s unexpected intrusion on her shower time as he pushed the curtain aside and stepped in, Alli couldn’t help an appreciative once-over of his body. Of course they had done plenty more than just seeing each other naked before, but for some reason sharing a shower seemed almost more intimate in another way. What was sexy about soap? Perhaps it was just because it was new—new is always exciting.

     After learning what they had at the last Walt Grove holiday party, Allison was more on edge at the ball than any young woman with a hot date ought to be. She couldn’t help her eyes from wandering, just waiting to settle on one of three unfriendly faces, but at a certain point she had to talk herself down. Max was here with her and they were ringing in their first new year together as a couple—they deserved to have fun and relax for one night; and if something happened, well, they would just have to deal with it then. She took her boyfriend’s hand and smiled. “Dance with me?”

“you’re my whole world, you know." - max

     The warm words brightened Allison’s cheeks and she snuggled closer with her face in the crook of her boyfriend’s neck to hide the affect it had on her. After three and a half months together, she should be better prepared for Max’s romantic moments, but she couldn’t help her heart from fluttering when he said things like that. “You’re my world, too,” she replied, unburying her head to meet his eyes. “So you’re gonna help me put up the tree?”
