Catching Up with Gretta
Gretta Harley was rocking out in Seattle with her band Maxi Badd in the 90s period. Gretta is one of the co-founders of Home Alive. She worked with the other members of the collective to put together Home Alive: The Art of Self Defense, a compilation CD of Seattle bands and other artists that raised money for the organization. She also shared with us that one of Home Alive’s first actions was chalking outside clubs: “How are you getting home tonight?” The collective also created graffiti art with similar messages throughout Seattle. Gretta continues her music in the band We Are Golden, is an educator, and is currently working on co-writing a musical called These Streets.
