'Mix Your Colors Well- A Bright New Day Is Coming' by Ravyn LaRue

I feel so braggy but I’ve gotten to the point where I know I’ll need to look back and take note of times like this and just now 10:33 AM on a Wednesday Maxine called me to tell me “You were beautiful onstage last night I can’t wait to see you onstage again” since I stepped in for an actor who was gone and in notes Maxine said “Now what Katherine did is what you all should be doing she gave it her all and was completely engaged that’s what you need to do” and after rehearsal the lead actress brought me aside and complemented my “emotional energy” saying that she really felt something from me and that deserve to keep acting I know I oughtn’t stroke my own ego but it felt so sweet that people who owe me nothing and haven’t known me for four years say the same sorts of encouragements as the souls who raised me and those I learned it all from

She said "I would give anything for you to be here next semester"

I always pick up the phone whenever there’s even the slightest chance she’s the one calling

And I think “I would give anything if I could’ve had all my college theatre classes with you”

But in a way that isn’t true because I appreciate her kindness so much more this way
