Today, I spoke to the spirit of the tree that I sit under during lunch and recess. I'm not sure if she would be okay with me sharing her name, but she was a delight to talk to!

Something that helps me when reading tarot - keep a journal nearby! Write down your question and what card you got, and how you interpreted it.

I forget my questions halfway through the reading a lot (I stare at the card interpreting it for a long time lol, I’m a beginner so I have to think about it a long time) so this helps me not forget them :)

Can’t put up a physical altar in your home? Make a digital altar in Freeform!

Freeform lets you add as much text and as many images as you want, and even has stickers. It’s an infinite canvas sort of thing.

Here’s some of mine!

I would say find images online that give you the vibe or energy of your deity and put them on the canvas! You can also put stickers and prayers.

Protection protection protection! Very important! For any practictioner, beginners included!

Today, I:

⭐️ enchanted my plushies to be the “protectors” of my room

⭐️ enchanted my shoes to protect me wherever I step

⭐️ enchanted my backpack to protect me whenever I wear it and my items inside of it

And I was specific! I included protection from humans, any unwelcome spirits, bad energies, natural disasters, etc. Being very specific helps your spells to be more powerful!

I cannot pray out loud in my home, because I am afraid of my parents walking in and overhearing. They are not accepting of my religion. But I find that praying mentally is difficult. My brain likes to shout obscene things and get off track. I don’t want anyone to find my prayer journals.

My solution? Make a Discord server where you pray to your deities. Don’t invite anyone (I mean, unless you want to share your prayers with other people I guess) and make a channel for each deity. Then you can pray there!

Here’s mine. The reason everyone else has Lord or Lady in front of their names and Apollo doesn’t is because He told me to chill with all of that. I guess it was too formal and was making our communication less effective or something. But that’s just me and everyone will have a different experience.

Anyways, can also send voice recordings if you want to save your verbal prayers in the server, and send them pictures as offerings! I like to send pictures of my art and bug photography :)

Welcome to my blog!

This is my witchcraft and paganism blog. I decided to separate it from my main @maximilliansblog . I saw a post where someone said that we should post our craft more often, because it inspires others, and I wholeheartedly agree! So that’s what I’ll be doing here.

For witchcraft, I mostly do glamours, ritual baths, divination through tarot and astrology, and some herbal magic. It’s not much, but it’s mine.

My pagan practices are mostly Hellenic, though I do work with/worship Lucifer. Lately I’ve been praying to and trying to work with Apollo, Aphrodite, Hekate, and Hermaphroditus.

My posts will mostly be records of what I’ve been up to lately, almost like a journal. I’ll also just post some general tips and opinions. I’ve only been practicing for two or three years, so I’m not very experienced, but I’ll share what I know!

do you have any advice for speaking to tree spirits?

Well, like with all spirits, try to be respectful and friendly. Introduce yourself. Ask for their name. I typically communicate with spirits through tarot, so I always introduce myself first and then ask if they would like to communicate through tarot. Sometimes spirits would rather not, and that's okay.

I always leave offerings to be respectful as well. I'm still pretty new to talking to tree spirits, but those are all of my tips! I hope they were helpful to you :)
