Max and Mariam's story had the most clichéd but wonderful progression towards the "enemies to lovers after being pushed into a life and death situation / being trapped together somewhere with no immediate escape" trope.

I only wish that they had let it develop in G Revolution.

Mariam: You are, because you are mellowing me with those puppy dog eyes.

Max: *blushes and scratches his head* I wonder when some girl would call me handsome.

Which @tum-tigger very helpfully pointed out was like that one line from that Linkin Park song. Fantastic. That’s not where this one went.

I wish I knew how to make videos because...

Now that we know that Mariam’s birthday is on 26th December (Aoki just made it canon! Along with some lovely art of her), I can just imagine Max dressing up in Santa clothes and singing Mariah Carey’s famous “All I Want for Christmas is Youuuuuuu”...

Like really, imagine Max, in midtown Manhattan, singing that song to Mariam as he tries to hilariously woo her on the eve of her birthday.

I’m really happy how this one turned out, but boy was it like pulling teeth. I have no ambitious plans for the next chapter so hopefully it goes smoothly. :)
