My beautiful friend Maya, formerly of The Stray Birds, released a new record today! She such a crafter of lyrics and her voice is absolutely stunning. I’m so glad that she worked with me again for this new album. We drove to the Tennessee/North Carolina border and photographed all day in the hills and forests. This was taken during sunset at Max Patch, and is a b-side to what became the album cover. Maya is an independent artist. She and SO many others have had to cancel tours and shows due to the #coronavirus, and there is no question that their livelihoods are being compromised. This IS THE TIME to buy albums, merch, etc. Even if it’s just a small purchase, anything helps.

Max Patch Mountain early this morning. This place was so peaceful and beautiful! We are definitely going back next Summer to camp out.  It’s always a good time when surrounded by friends and laughter.
