Today marks 1 month since we brought this boy home! He has helped heal my broken heart. I have sucked at being consistent with this challenge but this pup kept me busy.

Forgot to post yesterday because I was distracted in the most wonderful way. We picked up a golden retriever puppy from the same breeder we got our Dug from 11 years ago. His name is Maxwell Edison after the Beatles song Maxwell’s Silver Hammer. Getting him was the most spontaneous thing my family has ever done.
My uncle bought a dog pool last summer and his pup and she didn’t like it. He brought it to my house today and my corgi Fred wasn’t a fan but once Maxwell figured out it wasn’t a giant water bowl he enjoyed it. Happy to see my boy cool off on a hot day.
So many reasons to be happy. While cleaning up I found a candy corn squeak toy that I probably should have left under the book shelf where it was hiding but he loves it.
Another reason to be happy is my favorite nighttime show at Disney World Fantasmic is coming back the day before I arrive for my vacation. Dreading the crowds but thankful it will be back for my trip with my extended family (1 aunt, 2 cousins, 4 second cousins, one cousin-in-law, and me). 6 nights in 2 bedroom villa at Bay Lake Tower and 4 nights in a 2 bedroom villa at Animal Kingdom Kidani with a savannah view.
I came downstairs today and found my pup blissed out on the couch. I have had this couch for less than a month and he is doing his part to break it in. He is such a good boy.
