To Whom did Einstein Consider his Master’s in Science ?
On June 13, 1831 a boy walked on to the planet earth in Edinburg, Scotland. At the age of 14 he published his first scientific paper, by now he had memorized Bible completely. Aged 16 entered university for his degree; and was deeply dedicated and continued publishing serious scientific papers, which were creating huge value to his own university study. His monumental and aesthetic class of scientific essence was palpably apparent in his scientific papers.
By the age 24, he started sharing prizes for theoretical physics and mathematics. By now the world was somewhat getting a conspicuous glimpse of a divine science angel — beginning to unruffled the mines of scientific exploration.
By now he had formulated and published his analysis about formation of Saturn rings. Aged 29 he established and formulated the facts that each molecule of air at room temperature collide 8 billion times with each other.
The boy was deeply inspired by Ampere, Faraday, and Gauss ; he innocuosly and aesthetically applied mathematics to formulate the fundamental causes of electric and magnetic behaviour — producing exquisite mathematical equations, symbolising nature's most melodious piece of music with all interludes and preludes poised at the best place in the history of scientific inventions ever.
His name was James Clerk Maxwell.
Light has always intrigued us. Until angelic vision of Maxwell blessed this planet. He finally gave us light as wave. This went on to completely change our understanding of nature.
In Maxwell's own angelic words “ we can scarcely avoid the inference that light consists in the transverse undulations of the same medium which is the cause of electric and magnetic phenomenon”.
So dancing oscillation of electric and magnetic field is called light. Probability and color photography is the blessing from Maxwell to us.These angels never stop blessing us.They owe to the planet earth. They continue giving back to nature even after they depart physically from the earth.Ironically Maxwell left us at a very early age of 48 in 1879; the same year another scientific genius was born called Albert Einstein. Is it a historical coincidence or a profound significant impact of Maxwell's consciousness ?
Maxwell was instrumental in helping physics to change the altar from classical view to modern quantum probabilistic view. A view Einstein was never happy with.
When Einstein was asked he stood on the shoulders of Newton, he vehemently agreed; no i stood on the shoulder of James Clerk Maxwell.
Einstein considered James Clerk Maxwell his master in science.
Maxwell is physicist's physicist
—— Stephen Hawking
A hearty tribute to genius Maxwell.
May his wisdom flourish in every nook and corner of this universe….
