From what I gathered of the chapter (I may be wrong) Kafka was trying to determine if he was lucid dreaming, because everything else was normal, but then Hoshina shows up like this and he's like, "No. No. This can't be real. This is too dreamy. Hoshina would never wear this." LMAOOOOOOOO.

But also, Kafka's dreams are SUS HAHAHAHAAHAHAHA.

Witnessing a "Dadster" and "Gaster third skelebro" comeback following the Brown Door mindblown we all experienced.

While at this point I believe all family connection could theoretically work and we don't need to waste time on the details, I give you THIS

Early concepts of Papyrus's character.

Some parts of it has been redacted by Toby when he posted it.

I'm used to make the assumption that whatever is going on here is connected to Gaster : Toby could have chosen to completely crop out this text, or to hide the second part of the text with a single big black square if he really didn't want us to know what was written here (the same way he redacted Spamton's name in the Undertale Art Book and everybody assumed he just censored a swear), but instead he specifically let us know Papyrus seems to have been planned to have "someone else" in his life.

To me, this is classic Gaster Teasing Undertale was full of, not to mention how Gaster's name has often been associated with the concept of being redacted (his name on twitter just being six black squares, it crashing the game if you enter it, UT's special thanks featuring "[NAME REDACTED]", [redacted]'s entire existence etc).

And if we assume that this is about Gaster, then, we can probably rule out the possibility he could be Sans and Papyrus's brother, because the way Papyrus's relationships are phrased here makes it seem that whoever that "someone else" is, it must be "something else" than a brother.

Otherwise we would have "has a brother named comic sans and a brother named (wd) gaster", which sounds weird. Why not just say "has two brothers?

So that leaves us with all of the other options, the most popular of which being "and a father named (wd) gaster", which could fit!

However, given the spaces Toby had to censor and the existence of a skeleton in early development of UT called "Grandpa Semi", I think it is also reasonnable to consider the possibility Gaster might be Sans and Papyrus's grandfather.

(And yeah, I kinda believe that whatever was written there, it was about Grandpa Semi. But the fact Toby went out of his way to censor it instead of just sharing it with us, DESPITE the fact he has been sharing early concepts and cut characters like Doge with no problem, makes me think this is still connected to G. I'd go as far as to say that Grandpa Semi's character might have been REPURPOSED to become WD Gaster)
