Decided to base my Regect design on the kasa-obake, though that also made him look like a twig. He definitely uses the cape to make himself look more intimidating (and occasionally, to help shield his friends from the rain…) The actual Minecraft skin is so geometric/abstract that I wanted to keep that aspect intact. The kintsugi patterns across his limbs I hc came as a result of being a rejected antagonist. As for what’s under the cape, I’m not sure yet…

Much ado about kissing 

That evening, James kept checking his watch every ten minutes, eager to catch Sirius when he returned to the Gryffindor Tower. Two hours had passed and he was still gone. Half-arsing his homework, James eventually left Remus and Peter to the Common Room and retreated upstairs to sulk in his bed way before bedtime. 

Thirty minutes later, footsteps echoed in the corridor, and the door opened. 

"Finally!" James huffed and threw aside his Quidditch magazine as Sirius stepped into the boys' dormitory. 

"What took you so long? I was bored." 

"Aw, I'm touched," Sirius said with a grin, removing his outdoor robe and tossing it carelessly on his bed. He opened his trunk and pulled out a pair of joggers and a T-shirt. As he changed his clothes, James noticed his lips were red and swollen, and a few crimson bruises were already forming on his neck. 

"So, how was it? Your date?" James quickly turned his lingering gaze away. He didn't know why Sirius's love life bothered him so much. It was probably because the sixth-year workload kept them busy, and what little spare time they had he wanted to spend with Sirius. But he wasn't the only one. 

For the whole of their fifth year, Sirius had merely snorted at the girls as they twirled their hair and giggled around him. In their sixth year, he started saying yes when some of the more courageous ones asked him out. Such an idea was ludicrous to James, but of course Sirius Black would be pursued and not the other way around. 

In a weird way, it made sense. Sirius wasn't too bothered about whether he was dating someone or not, which made him so magnetic. Secretly James knew that if he had been a girl, he would have also asked Sirius out. 

"It was all right, mate. Catchlove is fit, though she only wanted to talk about cheese, which was a bit weird. But she insisted we make out behind the rose bushes before coming back to the castle, and I thought, yeah, why not?" 

"How is it they all fall for you? What do you do?" 

Sirius grinned. "Dunno. S'pose I'm good with my tongue and word got around."

Chat, we have a problem.

Why is it that playing KATSEYE’s second EP Beautiful Chaos on my childhood CDs player (that I dusted out of the attic) made me ugly sob the second Mean Girls started playing on stereo ?

Am I being emotional and dramatic or is there crack in this ? Cuz I go through the same process daily on Spotify and it didn’t have the same effect 😭😭

Did I mention I was obsessed with them ? Mind you, I’m very new to anything related to K-POP training and survival reality shows (also, don’t come at me, I don’t consider KATSEYE to be a K-POP group but they’ve gone through K-POP idols training and are signed under HYBE).

And when I say new, at the beginning of the semester I didn’t even know them and the first song I heard was Gnarly. Interesting song to begin with but then I fell in love with it afterwards.

And I’ve been obsessing about every bit of lore I could find on the internet (and in there), and I just adore them so much.

I feel like they’re relatable and connect with their community really well bc first of, they’re GenZ. Second of, they’ve been through a lot at different stages of their life and journey with themselves (cue Megan and Daniela for instance) but also exudes this energy and confidence that could only be well perceived bc they ARE human beings and they’re not scared to show it. By being silly, by being vulnerable or by standing up for themselves etc.

From a distant perspective (a fan, not even an American native and not living in the US), I’d say they have a healthy relationship with each other.

Yes, there are been beef that have been addressed recently and yes, they’re humans so they have their ups and downs and they can fight. But also, protection, care and respect comes so naturally to all of them that it just feels right.

Also, can we mention how they know their fans ?! Like, they remember them, whether they saw them at a signing event or a show venue etc.

Okay, I’m gonna stop my rant here bc I know it’s my current hyperfixation and I could yap about it for DAYS on end (ask my bsf and bf, they’ve had it).

But I just wanted to share this little snippet of my thoughts bc I feel like sometimes you just need a moment to really enjoy something.
