hmm… so the drafts from june are sitting over there and collecting dust… but oh well 🤷🏻‍♀️

as always, it’s been a hot minute, but what can i say a girl got busy 😬

with less than a month left in my internship, i’m just eyeing the exit (and the one-way flight to asia) at the end of august rn

but honestly it has been a great ride, met some sassy middle aged colleagues that became my work besties (perks of being the youngest 💅)

one of my close friend from my hometown was in paris for a month and so we make the most out of it bc i didn’t get to hang out with her for over a year

i introduced her to my parisian friends group and they all clicked and we had made some great memories (and poor choices after one too many bottle of white wine)

i’m just so glad i got to reconnect with her that way and we got to enjoy our summer together

and also, i made the best and most unhinged decision of my life this week, which leaves me a little financially vulnerable BUT the memories and the lore that i’m gonna gather are INSANE and UNVALUABLE

those are the kind of lore i’m gonna tell my kids

like i’ve become this person over the last couple years that do 95% of things for the plot and i LOOOOOOVE it so much

meet up with a random foreign guy for a midnight stroll and sightseeing at the eiffel tower ? done.

go to a party wearing a bikini, stilettos and a fur hat ? done.

carried my drunk homegirl all the way to the top of the hill so doesn’t have to walk barefoot on the nasty pavement ? done.

book a one-way flight to a country i’ve never been to to gain xp ? done.

apply to asia’s best universities and got into one of the best one, while having minimal knowledge of the language, my dream and no plan ? done.

decide i wanted to build a business and started making content about it to figure it out ? done.

challenged strangers to a squat off in the middle of the street ? done.

go on a 10h roadtrip with my best friend with no plan, no data and a bottle of water ? done.

i have more to come but i’m not gonna share rn but one thing you need to know is that it will work out bc i’m insane.

on that, i’m gonna go back to move my computer mouse so my teams status doesn’t go idle.

Girl- idk what happened 😭😭

you know the drill, as always i’m incredibly bad at keeping track of this blog 😭

but A LOT have happened over the last months and everything has been chaotic (peep the tate mcrae reference).

we didn’t start the new year off strong, far from it 🧍🏻‍♀️

i spent the whole period from mid-december to mid-march in shambles and jobless, i couldn’t secure a single internship even after five rounds of interviews, modeling and tests.

thankfully, an estranged cousin had the right network, after my resume was sent through every single branch of my family, in europe, the us/canada and asia.

she landed me a 6-month PAID internship in a tier 1 company within a groundbreaking M&A project 😭

and your girl got into the PMO/governance team, like wha- 😭😭

the program director literally called me, said he had my resume in his hand and that my profile would be useful even though they weren’t taking interns 😭

bro literally went to HR to ask them to hire me and send me an offer, and i’m still not believing it- 🧍🏻‍♀️

i’m so so so grateful, i was crying ugly tears when got the offer 💀

and then, i started the classic parisian routine (commuting/working/sleeping AKA “métro/boulot/dodo” in french), which was HELL 👹

spending +3h per day commuting and adding adulting pro max was not on my bingo card y’all 😔

but like everything, i got used to it and got to cherish the times when i’m simply enjoying life, my social life or traveling away from paris for a weekend 🫦

i’m in this giddy mood where everything just feels better: spring is definitely there, UVs are getting stronger, days are getting longer, temperatures are getting warmer and tops are getting shorter 🍒

and i can’t help but reflect on how much things happened over the last year, i’m actually getting emotional lol 🥹

cuz what do you mean last year i was taking my last exams and waiting for my admission letters ?

what do you mean at the same time last year, i wasn’t even aware that i’d be moving out and moving to PARIS of all places ?

what do you mean that i’d find my people, cherish them and find myself again along the way ?

life is truly full of surprises and i’m forever grateful for everything that happened, the bad, the good, and everything in between. 🥹

on that note, i hope to be a tad bit more consistent with posting here (literally ranting on the internet but that’s okay), and i’ll see you soon🍒

Chat !!

You know the drill, it has been a minute 🤭

So, Valentine’s Day went by in a wisp and I was definitely (very) single for the fourth year in a row !

But for some reason, this year’s celebration didn’t feel heavy or like cringey in the way it did before (I would literally gag at coupley posts and stuff) and neither was I longing so it’s win in my books.

I’m delulu enough to believe that I actually became more open to an actual relationship and not just entertaining situationships before pulling away when they wanted to commit. 😬

But whatever, my Valentine’s Day was spent with a quiet night in watching KDH, curled with a warm infusion and my favorite pjs.

But today’s celebration is even bigger !

It’s lunar new year and for some reason I’m sooooo invested in rituals and traditions circling on the internet about what to do and what not to do !

It probably is linked to the fact that I recently submitted my exchange semester list and Asia is all over the place, specifically mainland China, specifically Shanghai 🥰🥰

I am so excited for this upcoming adventure and it doesn’t feel as taunting as a couple weeks back because career wise, things are moving too !

I am so grateful for everything that came my way and I’m so excited for what comes next.

Today’s also my bestie’s birthday and what better gift than myself way to surprise her than to come unannounced to her house with boba, flowers and the promise to take her out for lunch (bf knows, bf is the enabler, we tolerate bf chat).

Best friend of the year should be given to me for the 148th year in a row. ✨

On that note, I’m gonna go back to editing my silly little vlogs.

Chat, we have a problem.

Why is it that playing KATSEYE’s second EP Beautiful Chaos on my childhood CDs player (that I dusted out of the attic) made me ugly sob the second Mean Girls started playing on stereo ?

Am I being emotional and dramatic or is there crack in this ? Cuz I go through the same process daily on Spotify and it didn’t have the same effect 😭😭

Did I mention I was obsessed with them ? Mind you, I’m very new to anything related to K-POP training and survival reality shows (also, don’t come at me, I don’t consider KATSEYE to be a K-POP group but they’ve gone through K-POP idols training and are signed under HYBE).

And when I say new, at the beginning of the semester I didn’t even know them and the first song I heard was Gnarly. Interesting song to begin with but then I fell in love with it afterwards.

And I’ve been obsessing about every bit of lore I could find on the internet (and in there), and I just adore them so much.

I feel like they’re relatable and connect with their community really well bc first of, they’re GenZ. Second of, they’ve been through a lot at different stages of their life and journey with themselves (cue Megan and Daniela for instance) but also exudes this energy and confidence that could only be well perceived bc they ARE human beings and they’re not scared to show it. By being silly, by being vulnerable or by standing up for themselves etc.

From a distant perspective (a fan, not even an American native and not living in the US), I’d say they have a healthy relationship with each other.

Yes, there are been beef that have been addressed recently and yes, they’re humans so they have their ups and downs and they can fight. But also, protection, care and respect comes so naturally to all of them that it just feels right.

Also, can we mention how they know their fans ?! Like, they remember them, whether they saw them at a signing event or a show venue etc.

Okay, I’m gonna stop my rant here bc I know it’s my current hyperfixation and I could yap about it for DAYS on end (ask my bsf and bf, they’ve had it).

But I just wanted to share this little snippet of my thoughts bc I feel like sometimes you just need a moment to really enjoy something.

As always (bc I cannot be consistent to save my life), it’s been a hot minute chat 😭

First of, merry Xmas to those who celebrate, I hope you had a great time and were surrounded by the right people. If not (either by choice or fate), I send you all my love and pray that the next year will be better to you. For those who don’t celebrate, I hope you spend some time off of at least, doing something you love and I wish you all the best <3

Now, as always I wanna do my silly little updates bc what I am if not a professional yapper:

First of, we survived the semester with 9 classes and 0 missed sessions (and also being an inconsistent party animal bc we locked in though September to mid-November bc I was in fact not being an academic weapon).

Still don’t have access to my transcript but I’m confident I ranked in the first tier (and honestly my official ranking is decent albeit lower that what I expected, I still ranked in the first 1/3 of both my cohort and in the third years’ class). And got a rather high GPA for the school (although it’s not what I’m used to 😭). But that’s that.

Got a three weeks hiatus until January, went on that silly little girls trip in the mountain, did everything for the plot and it was really fucking funny 🤓

Bought way too many gifts this year, and I was so proud and excited to gift them bc it’s the first year I’m able to buy everyone something (I’ve been saving up for that) and genuinely felt proud when I gifted my bestfriends their gifts, my family and the kids etc. Very proud of this achievement and thankful I was able to 🫶

We’re not entirely chilling through this hiatus tho, cuz I still need to find a freaking internship for January 💀 and this has been revealed to be overly stressful and unattainable bc the job market isn’t looking good at all and my network isn’t strong enough 😭 probably being dramatic bc I’m confident since I passed screenings and I rationalize knowing that it’s the holidays and that people are most likely on vacation (as they should but it’s giving me sm anxiety 😬).

But honestly, I’m grateful for the process and journey, I’m grateful to be safe and healthy and happy, and so I trust that everything will fall into place bc as always: everything happens for a reason and it will always work out.

On that note, I wish my girlies the best holidays/vacation/work/college/internship days ever 🫶

Uh, I’ve been gone for a hot minute.

But GOOD NEWS: WE’RE GRADUATING BABYYY !! ✨

AND ALL MY GIRLS ARE TOO WITHOUT TAKING RETAKES ✨✨

I don’t know yet if I got the spot but I got a hell of a 3.8 GPA (didn’t got the full 4 so gotta work harder).

I was stunned by two of my majors, I knew it went well but I wasn’t expecting full marks 🤩 I just didn’t nail my third major (which is my toughest yet more thrilling one since there is so much at stake) which costed me the full 4.0 but meh

Got in the top business school, now I’ll have to prove myself even more and I’m thrilled and so grateful to be able to study at college :)

But well, I guess that was my latest life update ;)

Was a bit upset to not have landed an higher score than last year’s MCL but I’ll try again 🫶

Thanks Life, now we’re celebrating (cake and rosé ofc) <3

Alright bitches, I’m done with exams season !

Good news is: WE GOTTA CELEBRATE BABY !

And we’re celebrating alright: spontaneous girls’ day and shopping spree, big ass apéro with our homeroom professor (and our fav also) tonight, celebratory laps on Friday morning and we got on a flight to a dream destination including infinite drinks, sun, beach and the ocean on Sunday morning at the mf crack of dawn.

Life’s good, I was being dramatic.

Eh so it wasn’t that bad, I was indeed being a little overdramatic.

BUT !

I got into the top 1 and top 2 best business schools in my country AND WE BALL BABYY !!

I’m so fucking relieved and happy and grateful, I literally cried when I got the acceptance letter and bear in mind that I was in CLASS (something that never happens, I seldom cry in public-)

And I was so grateful for everyone around me because my family and friends gathered to celebrate this milestone 🥹

Plus now my friends are planning on coming seeing me (as I planned going seeing them) since we’ll be in different cities and even though I’m a bit nervous and anxious about the idea of losing contact and not living day-to-day with them anymore (we’ve been for +2-years straight at this point), I also feel so glad I got a chance to start up again and keep my friends close !

And they also started planning their holidays for when I’ll go abroad for a semester and I couldn’t be more grateful for them ✨

Now, to get the 1st spot in this year graduation 🙌

And if you ever think that you’re not gonna make it, just remember:

My two moods lately:

1) Being overstressed and overwhelmed bc exam season is kicking me in the ass. Easily irritable and will go from 0 to 100 in .02 seconds. Will debate if I either feel like crying, laughing or throwing myself off the roof. I’m a little overdramatic, I know.

2) Fuck it we ball ! I’m fucking alive, what a gift ! Last stretch before graduation, let’s get the Sum Cum Laude spot ! No one’s coming to save my ass, get up. I’m so grateful for everything that happened, happens and will happen !

Am I slowly going insane ? That’s okay, every college student does.

First day, sun was out and it felt like spring and I saw my girls again and it was so great ! I missed them so much 😭

And girl’s night is coming along for St Patrick’s and goodness I’m waiting for it !

Uni is starting in 4th gear and I really need to focus and kick that procrastination in the ass, and I also need to focus on entering a top school next year ! And even if that doesn’t work out, I’m admitted to a decently good college program and I could move in and be roomies with some of my girls !

I cannot wait !!

I’m taking my last mock exams this week (finals week #3) before the Big Ones and I was feeling veeeery bored during the first part of the week 😭

Had to force myself to remain seated during the exams (French and Law & Economy) because I wanted to leave early so bad 😭

But I got into it last night and decided to study for today’s exam (Logistics) which is one of our trickiest course and I’d say it went pretty well and I’m actually getting into the grind again !

I guess this has to do with the promise of a girl’s trip right after our real exams in Portugal ! ✨

I was dying to go somewhere but none of my girls were interested and I was starting to lose hope, but two of my friends asked me if I wanted to go for a few days and I immediately said yes !

I’m so excited, I’m already planning everything as to not get things last minute (a new swimsuit, cute outfits, etc.) and as to not go bankrupt because sure I’m working part time, but I’m not making 4-figures 😭

Also I’m switching jobs for the summer and spending it in my favorite spot ! So it means, endless summer nights at the lake and beach and festivals ! ✨

Plus, and that’s one of the greatest news of the week (and trust me they’ve been a LOT and I’m so so grateful), I got pre-accepted into the top 7 business school in Europe !

Now, I need to book an online appointment to discuss my application with a jury but I was so excited because I didn’t think I’d make it through the first examination 😭

I’m so grateful for everything that’s happening and as always, I know that everything is temporary.

I feel like it was liberating but not as much as I’d expected 😭

But well, last night was girls’ night and we had an after, then bars round and then club until 5am and it was fucking amazing, I had so much fun and the sub-1h sleep was worth it.

There is officially one week left in this (shit) internship ! 🥹

So fucking proud that I hold on till now and still gathered tons of material for my reports and exams.

Plus, I’ve met cool people (even if they weren’t my immediate colleagues) and it helped a lot.

And there are so many good things coming up, I’m so grateful and excited for the way ! ✨

Only 2 weeks left of my internship ! 🥹

Technically, there are only 10 days left of work, which is so relieving ! Plus I’ll get to work with the Marketing Manager and I’m thrilled bc she’s really nice and funny and I actually enjoy talking with her ! And even if it was hard, I’d learned cool things from this internship, specifically in physics and chemistry but also in international trade !

Plus we had some fun escapades lately with my girls to visit unis for our third year of college and even if I need to really work on what I want to pursue, I find it thrilling that there are endless possibilities and I really want to challenge myself for the next 3 years !

And I miss my girls so much and I miss uni too but there are good things and it’s going to be so fucking worth it <3
