Writing Prompt - Ruining the Mood
"Can I kiss you?" They towered over their partner on the couch, noses touching.
"I don't know, can you?"
The groan tumbled out of their mouth before they could stop it and they sat back as they watched their partner's mischievous grin grow.
"Did I ruin the mood?" Still playful, they gave them a kiss on the nose before falling back onto the cushions, laughing.
"May I kiss you?" They expected some kind of indirect rejection joke in response.
"Of course you may. However," their partner stopped them short, "the real question is can you?"
