Custom Oreos, Anyone?
At SXSW this year, Oreo had a "Trending Vending Machine" that used a 3D printer to create a variety of cookies in different shapes and sizes. The machine used Twitter data to determine which flavors and color combinations are available.
The idea was created by technology design firm and innovation lab MAYA Design. Users are able to select their cookie configuration from a touchscreen panel on the front of the screen and after two minutes, a delicious creation is released.

Maya Character Design
Potencial designs to be made in Maya.
- Turtle
- Rabbit
- Parrot
- Owl
- Deer
- Mouse
- Cat
- Monkey
After careful observation of these characters/animals I think it would be to challenging for me to a bird as the shape and connections of the wings would confuse me. I may decide to create these at a later time when I have become comfortable with the software.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I started looking at Monkeys and Mice to design on the software, Maya. I have decided that for this project I will design a mouse and have screen shots of my progress.

TEDxCMU: Micky McManus of Maya Design explains information liquidity.
"The explosion of technology has created vast complexities that we do not know how to deal with. However, biology and millions of years of evolution inherently has the tools to deal with these complexities. How can we use the tools we have in our bodies to shape the next stage in technological evolution?"
