So I'm typing this theory pretty fucking late and I'm on mobile so I apologise for any gaping holes. A potential shot in the dark but hear me out :) Basically, as soon as I saw this in Ali's dollhouse wardrobe I was confused. M? Mona? How is she finding the time to engrave messages into the wall from the hole? I doubt Charles/A would be giving her the time to scratch messages to the other girls when she's clearly being starved out in a pit. So of course, my assumption is that M stands for Maya. Maya was in the dollhouse. I really do think Maya was kidnapped by A when we believed she was in San Diego. First, I was ALWAYS suspicious of those texts she was sending to Emily. Why would she text but not call? I thought A had her phone and was sending the texts to Em to create false hope that she was alive and well. But why would Charles take Maya? I think he took her because Maya moved into Alison's old bedroom. From the vault, we can see Charles clearly cares ridiculous amounts about the family unit he recalls from his childhood. I wouldn't put it past him to be furious that Maya had moved into Ali's room and messed up the bedroom he recalls that belonged to his sister from his childhood. So he kidnapped her and had her live in an exact replica of Ali's room as punishment. (This sounds super lame when I type it and I apologise, if anyone has a better justification then please share!) We know he's had the dollhouse for years and I think this could possibly be true. This means Maya could be alive somewhere as she may have managed to escape and is now working against A whilst assumed dead, or it means that she really is dead and that A put her body in Emily's yard as a message. We were led to believe she was killed as she was going to Em's house to warn her about A, but how do we know she wasn't put there by A specifically? Let me know what you think! :)

I think that either Mona or Maya is still alive.

They never found Mona’s body.

Plus, Emily’s Mother only said, “They found a body, they think it’s Maya.”

Mona was killed(?) because she knew too much.

Alison should have been dead because she knew too much.

This makes me think Maya may or may not have been killed because she knows too much.

I think that Alison is too valuable to A’s game and that’s why A hasn’t killed her yet. Alison knows their secrets, so I think that she plays an important role in A’s game, and may very well be helping A to stay alive.

Mona was doing nearly the same thing, helping A, trying to find who it is, not only to stay alive, but to save the Liars. At some point, Mona was invaluable to A, but once she became replaceable, that’s when A didn’t need her anymore.

Maya, however, may have seen something, or figured out something important, Therefore, before she could put together the pieces of the puzzle, (possibly what happened “that night”, or that Ali was alive) she was killed.

I feel like A is someone that we havent met yet, but Marlene says that they were in the first episode, But by that i think she meant Mona. All the show seems to be doing its taking out more and more suspects. Any big A suggestions?

I feel like big A has to be someone we already know… otherwise, I don’t know, I will definitely be a little upset. And I think that would be a cop out on the writers part - we want to make everyone look guilty, so in the end they can be like ‘surprise A is this random person you’ve never met before!’

I think the show could easily go in the direction of big A being Ali, a liar (I will always guess Emily), or a parent - possibly a Hastings parent.

OR, I know I’ve been getting asks about Maya. I would be okay with her being big A. I think it would be a big twist. She was in the pilot (I still think big A has to be in the pilot - everyone is in there), she has access to all of the secrets, and she got access to those secrets right before the texts were sent. She was the one who told Em that Ali’s body was found, so technically you could say she started that lie (haha that’s a bit extreme but…), and her body was found the same way as Ali’s, Ali’s was a lie - Maya’s could be too. 

So my crazy guess (and the show is pretty crazy) would be Maya. Otherwise Ali, a liar, or a parent - I can only picture it going one of those ways honestly. I’ve written about everyone, I can’t see it being anyone else.
