Mona once refers to Aria as “big A”, and for a few episodes Aria wore a necklace with an “A” on it. 1. In the Q&A with A, A is asked who he thinks is the missing link, to which he responds “I’m more interested in the strongest liar.” In Season 2 Episode 2 “Father Knows Best”, Aria is pointed out as the best liar by all her friends.\

4. When talking about A in the episode “unmAsked”, Spencer says “We need to look at this A situation with a pair of fresh eyes.” Later in the episode, during the Ezra&Aria car/rain/kiss scene, the song playing in the background is titled “Fresh Pair of Eyes.”

Then, at Ali’s funeral, Hanna and Spencer revealed that they too had been getting creepy texts. Does anyone else find the timing of this to be just a tad... convenient?
12. In the season 2 finale, the girls are on the hunt for the “Black Swan” at the masquerade ball after seeing a sketch of the costume in 'A’s' lair. Eventually, we find out Melissa was the one behind the mask – but that 'A' told her to wear it. Coincidentally (or not?), Aria is dressed-up in a red and black striped gown at the soiree, a dress that strangely resembles an old Black Swan poster
