No one can convince me that Newt and Tina had at least one big fight where one of them stormed out of the house. I see it being Newt who leaves in a huff and apparates to his brother’s, parent’s, or to the Kowalski’s. He’s angry, needs a drink, and rants it out red face with mixed emotions and alcohol. Pickett is in his coat pocket, crawling out to soothe his hurting master with little chrips and strokes to the face. Someone tells Newt that he need to go home and that he can’t simply run away from his problems like he might have before.

He comes home with a flustered face, slightly tipsy, and very much ready to take Tina’s yelling. What wasn’t ready to see her laid on the couch crying with his creatures circled around her like snow white and the 7 dwarfs. Walking in filled with caution since his creatures all look at him unsure as how to feel themselves. They care for their new master, feeling her to be upset and to have Newt leave suddenly seemed very strange to them. To have Tina cry to herself seemed even more bazaar to them since they know their Master is always there to try to clear her tears. So they all just look confused and sad puppy dog eyes.

Newt looks down as he swallows back his emotions. Slowly approaching her as his creatures move out of the way to grant him access. He tries to call out to her, but Tina tells him to go away, she doesn’t need him. They both know that’s a lie though, they both need each other in ways they can’t quite explain. Yes, a part they can do just fine alone, they’re both people with promising careers, understanding of the world, and have no need to be in a relationship. They just feel better, correct, more certain, and simply happy together. Though, they learned happiness is not promised to be an everyday thing. Newt knows better than to leave a girl crying all alone, especially if she’s the one he cares for deeply.

He doesn’t go away. Instead he sits on the floor with his creatures and by her side because it’s where he feels like he belongs. He sits there, listening to her crying soften, and to the gentle purrs, chirps, clicks, and huffs of his creatures. Eventually Tina stops crying and runs her fingers through Newt’s hair. Something they both find soothing. He looks at her with slightly red eyes, evidence that he’s been crying (and drinking) before he came in, to meet her puff crimson eyes. He slowly gets up to sit on the couch in front of her, she sits up to meet him into a hug. He whispers his apology in her neck before he kisses her cheek. Tina apologizes too, saying it takes two to argue.

That’ll be the night they realize how hard things can be. How scary things can end between then in the heat of the moment. They a have a few more fights like it, but always stop before anyone of them leave the room. Just looking at each other with hurt looks and familiarity in their eyes. Remembering how it felt to push one another out the door and the pure hurt they can say to each other. After that night, after a fight, they just breath is out, take a moment alone, and regroup with level headed minds.
