Hi I want to say I love your writing. I won't beg for updates because I get that life comes first. I kinda want to ask something. You mentioned that Natural Born Lovers is your last new Robb x Sansa fic. So does that mean you quit Robbsa and only writing on your in progress stuff? Are you done with fic writing? I hope not but if so I can understand. No one writes forever in a fandom. Thx
Hi Anon,
Thank you!
Natural Born Lovers will “most likely” be my last NEW multi-chapter Robbsa fic. I’ve been writing Robb x Sansa for almost 3 years and I think I’m losing interest in the pairing since I’ve covered many subjects/themes and incarnations of them.
I may open up one-shots to expand into multi-chapter fics but as far as new material, I feel I am done.
My goal now is to work on the WIPs I have and complete them. Maybe write easy, no-commitment one-shots along the way when the mood strikes. I’ve noticed a downtick in hits/comments/interest lately, which I understand. I think the craptastic ending of Game Of Thrones has resulted in a lot of readers not wanting to read GOT fics… or, I’m just becoming old hat and also the cold hard fact that I’m not writing as well as I used to.
I’ve also taken interest in other pairings, such as Harry Hardyng x Sansa, Robin/Robert/SweetRobin Arryn x Sansa, maybe even Jaime x Sansa, and other fandoms, like the BBC Merlin - Morgana x Arthur pairing, and Gwen x Leon. :)
Of course I have a few more ideas for Robbsa but I’ve shelved them. I really didn’t think I would write them past Don’t Stop Swaying so anything after that has been “bonus”.To be honest, I had something to prove and felt vindicated with Don’t Stop Swaying; and I am proud of its success. It will always be, in my eyes, my best fanfic. Oddly it’s not even my highest in kudos, but I go by sentimental value. :)
I need to feel the same excitement and enthusiasm I had when writing Don’t Stop Swaying or Caution: Love and Lust Ahead, or Warm My Flesh With Your Furs. I feel now like I’m struggling with Robbsa, and the interest is waning.
Thank you for the ask! And for the compliment.
