also i think throwing people off things may be my mo in these games which is a little worrying. Mostly just in return to the tower. So many high places for guards to just....fall off. or pushed, or dropped, or windblasted. although really high chaos is mainly worth it for the tall boys. I still have no fucking idea on how to disarm them non-lethaly. I just freeze time, sprint like crazy and hide in bins.

It’s just so funny watching them fly off ?? I can’t explain it. They don’t know what’s happening and suddenly they’re gone, goodbye. Say hello to the rocks for me.

Really though I don’t think there is a non lethal way to bring them down? U just gotta RUN like fuck and hope they don’t catch you. Cause they’re immune to the sleep darts and killing them the only way you can is difficult enough. What I do is I stop time and release 3 carefully aimed darts, hide, and when time comes back hopefully they’ve exploded and I can be on my way. I have missed before tho and that just seemed to piss them off even more o ops.

high chaos is always just so much more f u n. Life's just not as good when you're not summoning rat swarms. tbh i think one of my faves things to do in bioshock is using undertow and just sweeping people off the edge and watching them flail. (plus the octopus hand is kinda cool shhhh) AND OH GOD I'D FORGOTTEN ABOUT THAT ONE THAT JUST APPEARS BEHIND YOU. I have not forgotten screaming and almost throwing the laptop off my lap, it was so fucking traumatic. NOT COOL.

TRUE. All the best powers are high chaos ones, especially the one that makes the bodies disintegrate so you leave no evidence lol. People still seem to find the bodies though, I can never avoid that no matter how hard I try (I don’t try hard at all but it’s still mildly annoying). 

I never used to use undertow, charge or return to sender before this playthrough. I don’t know why ?? Like I said I was new to shooters and kind of awful at genuinely everything so I just stuck to the basics but now I love them so much. Watching people go flying over the city railings is just too funny.

The skyhook is probs my fave melee weapon ever. Ever. Mostly because it also counts as a handy escape mechanism. Always a fan of jumping off a building and hoping like hell there's a rail somewhere below. But with the boys of silence I was just so freaked out that i just shot everything and anything i could see in a panic. and then have to pause and slow my heartrate down. And stealth is really the only way to go in dishonored unless u want sam disappointed in u. Which no one wants.

Same! I wish there was an option to upgrade it though, like you can with all the other weapons. Make it more powerful or use if from long range like a grappling hook that would’ve been cool. Using charge with it is super fun though ~

I definitely think the boys of silence were the worst enemies, I mean they were simple enough to kill but the amount of panic they invoke is just noPE. I still remember that one that appears when u turn around after turning off a thing?? THE WORST.

I honestly hate any kind of fight where other people can teleport. The whalers are gr8 but omg do I HATE fighting them i hate it so much. And sheer luck and standing on objects higher up than who i was fighting was pretty much my standard in that stupid asylum. Or just chucking a grenade in and ducking, and praying. Although that method fucking wrecked me in my first dishonored playthrough man did i regret that.

Oh god same. That’s why I prefer to go for stealth playthroughs in dishonored because in a straight up fight I just end up flailing my sword around and screaming. I don’t do well under pressure at all omg.

GOD. It’s the way the ghost people just mob you all at once, and all you can do is screech and shoot and smack people with the skyhook and try not to die. Is there actually a way to get past the boys of silence without alerting them?? Cause that would make my life so much easier and keep my blood pressure at a calm and manageable level.

uggghh the problem is THAT I DON'T KNOW HOW. But i see on my dash but am then too lazy to actually find out how to do it. And oh godd the asylum section is just the creepiest, i revert back to leaning around my couch trying to see around corners on my screen.... (BUT after that you get her back and you're not entirely useless?? idk man) idk.

maybe it’s an xkit thing? who knows, but I need replies back it’s been so awkward without them like ???? please tumblr I know you hate your userbase but come on.

my main issue with the asylum was that there seemed to be a lot less ammo around, if any. I distinctly remember picking up whatever weapons I could (ones I never liked using) weeping bc there were so many enemies and I was basically fighting them off with a combination of luck and a shoelace.

I LOVE IT <3 I’ve only finished it once before tbh, and I’ve had a bunch of playthroughs since then that I’ve just kinda abandoned lol but I’m determined to get through this one! (I’m dreading the zeppelin fight and the asylum place too, bc it makes me realise just how much I suck without elizabeth lmao)

I mean I have an interview on Monday so I will have a job but I am going to enjoy the fact that I didn’t have to ask for my birthday off like I did last year.
