Hey emeraldspiral! I think the petition to have more Ben Solo content is awesome and am thrilled it’s getting so many signatures. I was wondering if you would consider signing and sharing this petition too? chng.it/9DbHdwf… I think the more DLF sees Ben Solo support, the more likely that they will release more material whether it be through future stories or unseen footage of Adam as Kylo/Ben. That’s my hope

Getting any studio to backpedal and admit they were wrong by releasing an alternate cut or remaking something that disappointed fans is an uphill battle that you’re likely to never see fans win in your lifetime. The most successful campaign on that front was for Mass Effect 3, and even that only offered a pittance.

The petition I’ve been signal boosting is asking for something completely reasonable and profitable for Disney; a new product that they can sell to those of us who were left unsatisfied by TROS. Something that they can pretend was their intention all along and why we never should’ve doubted them.

Nonetheless, I would encourage people to sign this other petition anyway. Because Disney didn’t strike TLJ from canon or remake it, but they did mangle TROS to try and address fan complaints to the film’s detriment because the petition demanding it be struck from canon got over 100,000 signatures.

Signing the petition asking for an alternate cut of TROS almost certainly won’t actually get us an alternate version of TROS no matter how many signatures it gets. But it may help us get what the other petition is asking for.

So sign both.
