The Hand of Nas - This is the story of this photo as i know it: A friend of mine was going to work in the Bay Area. He ended up talking to an off duty security guard who lived next to the bus stop. Dude told him that he used to be a photographer in NY. A few minutes deep into the convo he told him to hold on, ran up to his apartment, and returned with this photo. Guy had shot the Nas cover from the source and he gave my friend the print. You never know.

Darkest Hour

Yesterday, out in the yard

amid the morning fog,

I was planting grass seed

when I found a little frog.

I just unbagged some topsoil

when I heard a little sound,

then saw him looking up at me

upon the muddy ground.

At first I wondered how on earth

he hopped there undetected,

but there might be a stranger

explanation, I suspected.

I think that he was burrowing

in the topsoil and got snagged,

and I’d just finally freed him

when the topsoil was unbagged.

So in your darkest hour

you may just wake to see

a greater being step right in

and help to make you free.
