super stealth trans man carlos!! he explains away the scar from his phalloplasty by telling people it's from a "lab accident." mayor winchell is a trans woman, too. night vale is also sort of a haven for nb people, and folks who find themselves with no support and nowhere to go usually end up in night vale, which is as supportive of trans/otherwise queer identities as it is dangerous and mysterious as heck.
