Hi I used to be part of a pre-professional ballet program but then life happened. It's been years since I've danced but I feel incomplete without it. I had a few injuries that have set me back. I'm trying to fix that. Any tips on how to dance again?

Well, I haven’t been in that particular situation so I probably can’t give you any extremely useful advise… I think the main thing is finding the right studio to dance at that has the best atmosphere for you to work in. Taking an advanced class at an adult-only studio (like, one that teaches ballet to adult beginners) can be nice; even though the level of technique isn’t particularly high it’s a good place to work on the basics and there are low expectations so if you can’t do things because of injuries you won’t stick out. Or you could just take drop in classes offered by a professional company, which offer more of a challenge (which would probably be appropriate for you with your background) and a lot of anonymity, in my experience. Or if you’re in collage and your school has a dance program you could go that route and be in a more community, progressed based environment. A lot of this depends on availability, of course. I’m used to living in a city with lots of options but I understand that’s not everyone’s situation.

My sincerest apologies for such a late response (I’m traveling outside my home country so life is hectic and I’m not online much) and if this answer is totally useless. As always, I invite my followers who have relevant experience to contributed any tips they might have :)
