Let's just say that writing a comic based on a game you play is a lot harder when the game makes it feel like it wants you to leave.
This deserves an explanation.
The player vs player environment in Elsword has become very unpalatable as of late, and even though I've steered the comic's direction into a commentary about the in-game events quite often, the next set of events isn't looking particularly promising, either.
None of my matches have lasted long enough for me to find any meaningful new data or quirks that could make it into comic form that haven't been commented on already - matches more often than not end within half a minute, and if your opponent happens to have Sand Blast, or a Ring of Fury, or -damn Nexon for having conceived of either of them- both, one catch means death. There's nothing meaningful to be derived from that - no chance for intelligent or thought-provoking play - hell, I can't even make a joke out of it. The same stupid stuff over and over and over again. This time around everyone and their pet goldfish can break the logic of the game, and characters that already did so can now do so doubly. (To the guy who argues that gear is the great equalizer? You're a moron.)
What I'm getting at is that, with just how distasteful the current experience is, I think it's more worth my time to break off from the game than to force myself into it for the sake of PvP or even for writing a fresh comic every week. I'll still play for the daily raids and maybe an event here or there, but I don't see myself running into any of the major upsets or stupid coincidences that often do make it into comic form any time soon.
Please consider the [MBM] Elsword 4Komas to be on hiatus until the next major rebalance patch hits the game.
