History: women in the australian police force were only Special Constables until 1960s
me: doesnt give a shit, makes Pike the Detective Inspector in 1928 because fuck you, historical accuracy
I seriously hate going to bed early. It seems like such a waste after the kids get to bed but going to bed at 10 last night made getting up at 6:30 not so bad this morning. Got to see the sunrise, all pink and orange. Had two kind of shitty days in a row and I said to my self "have a good today you can do it."
Well Penny dropped an egg on the floor and in my haste to clean it up before she could get into the raw floor egg, I ruined my breakfast.
I could still have a good day. I really do believe a day is what you make of it. I am desperate to be productive and although raising my kids is certainly productive it's not something as tangible as a clean kitchen or organized closets or good grades.
If I could afford it I would consider doing one day a week, not even a day just a few hours, at a daycare with Penny. She could play with different toys, meet new kids and I could actually get something done other than breastfeeding and stopping Penny from going in the fridge/dishwasher/pantry because apparently eggs, boxes of pasta and my dishes are much better toys than her actual toys.
Not to mention I was a total bitch to Erik last night. Sorry love.
Guess who got more fluff in the mail today! I'll post some pictures of it tomorrow but I got three thirsty bottom all in one diapers and they are kind of interesting. They are a little smaller so they will have to be replaced but they are super simple as the insert is attached to the diaper with room underneath to add more inserts as needed. I think Erik will favor these as they seem easiest to use.
The person who sent them ordered off my registry and spent enough to get a free diaper sent a long as well. It's a large sized KaWaii Baby in black with two really nice big microfiber inserts.
Yay! So excited. I really just need a few more diapers before I have a full stash now.
I think the most frustrating thing so far is that right before I found out about the GD I had gone shopping and I can't really afford to waste food so I've been pushing all the food I can't have onto Erik and Penny like "What's that Penny? MORE pasta for lunch? If you say so."
In other news I'm switching Penny to Almond milk. I think the last few days the cows milk is making her really sick. She's been having really bad diarrhea which has been giving her bad diaper rash then after her bottle she threw up and had diarrhea. Poor thing. I've wanted to switch to almond milk for a long time but it's kind of expensive. If it's going to make Penny feel better than it's worth every penny (haha).
Booker is kicking up a storm today. We took a very warm bath with Penny to help her insane diaper rash that came out of no where and that was nice but I think I got a little overheated because I can't seem to cool down. Oh well I turned the AC on and Penny's rash is looking better.
