ENFP Truths
We do not wear our hearts on our sleeve. Many times we are made out to be the super emotional, spill-our-guts-to-the-guy-behind-us-at-Target -or-anyone-else-who-will-listen type. From my perspective as an ENFP, this simply isn't true and here is why. Are we highly passionate? Yes. Are we sometimes on a roller coaster of emotions? Yes. Does this mean we let everyone into our private sector? No. I read the other day that ENFP's are the "Oddest mix of open book and super private". This is true, we choose very carefully what information about ourselves we will share with you (probably why we are such fans of telling stories...) and then we freely share that with anyone. But our true feelings, thoughts, opinions, and dreams are only shared with those who we feel closest too and that really isn't too many people. It takes a lot for us to feel comfortable enough to confide in someone and when we do, we do so wholeheartedly. That's not to say we don't have many friends, we usually have lots and it takes very little for people to feel like we are their friends...This is because we are really good at focusing on other people and drawing the attention away from ourselves (despite how much we talk.😊) by carefully choosing what personal details we share with you-just enough for you to feel really comfortable with us but keeping our true selves safely sealed inside, until we choose to reveal them to you. On a slightly separate note...I pity the person we choose to open up to completely and they mistreat that...
