Stacy places a tray of cookies in front of Devon and Andy, who are busy fighting over Devon’s phone that Andy stole. A half-written tweet queued up on her twitter account about how amazing and outstanding Andy is, a smirk on his lips as he manages to tuck the phone into his pocket sticking his tongue out at Devon who playfully shoves his chest.
“Listen up children!” Stacy yells, slamming the tray of cookies onto the table, causing both Andy and Devon to jump turning to face Stacy who leans in really close to the both of them. Her lips curled into a sweet smile. “If you ruin this party with your bickering, they will be scraping you off a sidewalk, got it?”
“Got it.” Andy gulps nervously, Devon glancing away at the intensity of the moment.
“Perfect. Love you guys, thanks for the help.” She quickly throws her arms around Devon and Andy necks before releasing them as soon as it helps. Rushing off to the kitchen throwing a glare behind her shoulder at the both of them. After disappearing around the corner the pair break into a loud laughter Devon leaning onto Andy for support her curls cascading onto his shoulder.
“She’s intense around Christmas. I kind of forgot.” Devon admits as she picks up one of the shaped cookies on the tree. The one resembling a flatten Santa Claus as she holds it up to her face. “Ho, ho, ho. She’s on the Naughty list this year!”
“Hard stop.” Andy laughs, hiding his face in his hands as Devon continues to shake the cookie in front of her face pretending to be Santa Claus. He moves to grab the cookie from her but misses by a mile as she pushes his arm away. Devon shaking her finger in his face.
“How can Santa get you what you want, when you’re making a claim for yourself on the naughty list,” Devon asks expectantly, trying to mask her laugh behind a stern face, her lips pushed tightly against one another. “Hm, Andy Kang?”
“I need not impress Santa anymore.” Andy shrugs, grabbing a Christmas tree off the cookie tree taking a bite out of the sweet cookie, Devon’s eyes widening at him, her mouth falling open to scold him when he pushes part of the cookie into her mouth. “Hush,” He laughs, “I have all I want for Christmas.”
“Oh yeah? What’s that then Dingus?” Devon asks as she chews part of the cookie spitting at Andy who dodges it quickly, shaking his head at her as she laughs pressing a hand to her heart. “This bitch dry as hell.”
Andy nods in reply as he takes her hand into his own, his finger glossing over her knuckle. “All I want for Christmas is you, Devon.” He shoots at wink at her as she rolls her eyes, a smiling pulling at her lips that she can’t contain. “God if Mariah Carey was here she’d be so disappointed with how cheesy that was. Whatever I still meant it, cheese or not.” He laughs happily.
“Well, all I want for Christmas is you as well.” She smiles, “And Steve’s lemon bars from Perfect Match. That show is intense, but god his lemon bars look delicious.” She can’t help but laugh as she intertwines her and Andy’s fingers looking into his caring eyes. She places a quick kiss onto his lips before turning back to the cookies. “Enough of this, cookies are our priority. Santa loves cookies.”
He shoves her with his elbow before grabbing his own cookie off the tray, this one resembling a reindeer. “Look I’m Rudolph.”
“Oh, Rudolph with your nose so bright-” Devon begins in a deep singing voice ringing out into the room.
“THAT DOESN’T SOUND LIKE COOKIE DECORATING DEVON AND ANDY!... DAMN IT AVA, STOP USING YOUR MAGIC IN HERE BEFORE YOU SPILL ANOTHER-” The sound of a bowl falling onto the floor breaks the tension in the air, as Andy glances at Devon with a laugh covering his mouth from furthering Stacy’s hostess wrath. “AVA I WILL END YOU!”
“OH MY GOD, STACY!” Dan yells as more noise gravitates from inside.
“AVA!” Lily’s voice rings out from the noise.
“SOCK HER!” Britney yells, as Devon can only assume, she means sock Stacy with her camera out making a record of their scrap.
“Can’t you all ever act like normal people.” A tired-sounding Lucas complains.
“Aren’t you glad we’re out here decorating Santa?” Devon asks with a laugh as she places the cookie onto the matt in front of her tuning out the drama coming from the kitchen. “You’d think Stacy would learn not to let us help her. Or even Mayor Mom. She has to buy a new bowl every year we were kids.”
“Some people never learn.” Andy shrugs with a soft laugh, as he picks up the chocolate fudge frosting setting it in front of him. Grabbing the Rubbermaid spatula off the counter, dipping it into the chocolate frosting before plopping it onto his reindeer cookie. “So 24 cookies, 12 each?”
“You think she only wants 24 decorated? Some people really never learn.” Devon grins, coating her Santa with the brown frosting as well. “We’re going to be frosting cookies during the party, I can promise you that much.”
“Can we meet under the mistletoe at least once?” Andy winks, as Devon rolls her eyes a smile playing at the corner of her lips as she continues to frost the cookie in front of her. She grabs the red frosting tube to start adding red designs to her cookie, quickly losing track of time as her and Andy banter back and forth about stupid Christmas jokes and Stacy’s intensity.

Devon follows Andy through the crowd, her hand tightly wrapped around his as he pulls her to a stop on the dance floor. He turns to her with a grin, his hand moving to rest on her waist, hers on his shoulder, pulling her tightly into his frame. He leads her through a few steps before spinning her in his arms, her laugh disappearing into the crowd. He moves closer to her dipping her low leaning in the scent of her perfume on his nose and his cologne on hers, a sweet candy scent that’s very unique to Devon in his mind.
“Hey.” He whispers, his hands supporting her from her lower back with his strong arms. “We’re under the mistletoe you mentioned earlier.” He snickers, looking at her lovely. Her hand coming to rest on his cheek.
“I think you mentioned it, but yeah, here we are.” She laughs, “So what are you going to do?” Andy smirks at her invitation before dipping his face lower capturing her into a lingering sweet kiss, his arms still tightly embracing her to keep her from falling. Devon doesn’t hesitate to kiss him back, deepening the kiss with a quick turn of her head, letting herself suddenly take the lead. Andy welcoming the initiation with a chuckle against her mouth, his lips curls into a grin as he places one final kiss onto her lips, her teeth pulling gentle on his lower lip before letting him go. “Wow.”
“Took the words right out of my mouth.” Andy laughs, helping her to stand right again, her back up against his chest as he moves her in his arms to the beat of the song. “I think I fall more in love with you every day.” He murmurs against her ear, before twirling her against so she’s facing him.
“Hard same.” She laughs, before capturing him in another kiss. “Am I all you want for Christmas still?”
“God yes.” He laughs, capturing her in a lingering kiss again, his body melding into hers on the dance floor with people around them mingling and dancing. The music fading around them focusing in on the moment they share together, the taste of the cookies they decorated but ate most of them on both of their lips as she runs her hands through his soft hair. All she wanted for Christmas was for this moment and feeling to never end.
