being an trainee under jyp entertainment wasnt easy. you had your ups and downs.. oh, definitely your downs. but you didnt let it stop you from actually achieving your goal: debuting into a successful group.
your group had definitely been the most anticipated debut, and it had you completely nervous. it was already so nerve wracking being under the same label as huge groups like twice and stray kids, so adding to the top of it how many people were waiting for your debut just made you and your members extremely anxious for it.
but you made it work. you debuted with a well selling and streamed album, but along with debuts and comebacks comes promotions.
being the leader of your group, you expected to be very worn out by these constant promotions. but no one prepared you for how much work it truly is.
your members did everything they could to help you, but alas, at the end of the day, you were the leader. one day in particular during promotions you had performed your debut song on inkigayo.
it went smoothly. way too smoothly, it almost felt.. odd.
nonetheless you continued the show with an interview with the mc’s. again, it went super smoothly. it was really odd this time because not only were you a fan of all three mc’s. your members were even bigger fans, specifically the maknae of your group, who can still go a little crazy sometimes. but even then, it went super smooth.
after the show, your staff came to you and told you they have planned for your group and another to do dance challenges for tiktok.
granted, tiktok was not your favorite thing in the world, but you did love to dance and loved learning any new comeback dance as much as you could.
you and your maknae were taken by staff to the hall way to meet the other group, which indeed ended up being mc yeonjun from tomorrow x together.
your maknae grabs your arm. “no.. fucking.. way.”
you smile a bit at their cuteness and then turn to yeonjun, bowing. “its nice to meet you again.”
he bows back. “you two too. you did amazing today. can i just say i enjoy your debut song a lot? its really good.”
“oh my gosh! you enjoy our music?! we enjoy yours too! well i do the most, but the whole group really enjoyed your newest album!” your maknae let out really quickly.
yeonjun giggles and smiles wide. “im glad, makes me happy we have sunbaenim who are moa. okay. lets get started with this tiktok before we get too pressured by staff.”
and so you did. since your group really enjoyed good boy gone bad, it was simple to learn the actual choreography but..
every single time you tried to film the tiktok, something went wrong.
first, your shoelace was untied and you accidentally tripped while turning around.
second, your maknae forgot a certain move that made them end earlier than you and yeonjun.
third, you had a sneezing fit, which only followed with a hiccup fit. it wasnt fun.
try after try, something would go wrong and eventually you felt really bad for wasting yeonjuns time.
after finally filming the tiktok, everyone cheered, including the staff because they too were tired of seeing the littlest things go wrong.
you approached yeonjun before heading back to your group. “hey.. i just wanted to apologize for the whole situation. normally were good at you know.. idoling and dancing and stuff. i just dont understand what went wrong. everything from this morning went smoothly, i guess it was only a matter of time.”
yeonjun fixes his shirt and shakes his head. “no its completely fine. everyone has their moments, even i do til this day. its all about learning from them.”
“thank you,” you smile at him. “i hope we can work together one day. i really do enjoy your music and your dance skills.”
“hm.. i enjoy yours too. the trip was my favorite move,” he laughs a bit.
that only makes you blush. “right.. itll be my signature move from now on.”
“y/n!! come quick! i think someone stole my phone!” your maknae yells from across the hall.
you sigh and turn to yeonjun. “i should go.. it was nice working with you. again, apologize for the whole messing up part. you did really well compared to us.”
“no need to apologize. you both did well too. let me or my staff know if youre ever near hybe, maybe i can take you up on that collab offer,” he smiles at you.
you smile back, especially at the ending sentence, and nod, turning to run after your maknae who wont stop yelling for you.
