‘But surely you agree, that Netflix and Chill has had its moment in the sun. Hulu and Commitment will be the new craze.’
“Only nineteen years old and I’m already starting to completely forget about my birthdays.” Percy’s shoulders lift up in a bit of an uncaring shrug; it’s not as if anyone else in his family and incredibly small circle of friends remembered, outside of his sister.
“Yeah... I’m awake,” Holden mumbled, holding back a yawn.
❝ so, i just got text from byron, which read, ‘you shouldn’t commit murder; frankly, it’s a bit rude.’ apparently i forgot to feed my fish again. ❞
When Percy’s able to get a full grasp of his attention once more-- slowly being pulled out of his seemingly empty state until he’s straightening his spine-- his eyes widen a bit as he takes in the sight of the person before him. Fuck. Were they in the middle of a conversation? Had they just approached? This is why you’re supposed to take your medicine, you idiot. The boy reaches up to smooth down the ends of his fringe, clearing his throat and letting his gaze rest on his current companion. “Pardon-- did you say something?” And despite the apology, his expression falls back into his usual state of disinterest, eyebrows quirked up, as if he hadn’t been the one to zone out just now.
“What? No, I have no idea what paper you’re talking about. Haven’t seen any paper. You want to grab some food with me?”
With sunglasses sat low on the tip of her nose, and hair disheveled every which way, Arden was miles away from any semblance of ‘fresh-faced’ -- though with her head currently producing a dull throb behind the browns of her eyes, the girl found that she didn’t so much care. “Fuck, I could go for an English Breakfast right about now.” Upon this scanting revelation, Arden’s head gracefully flops down forward onto the table in front of her, an agitated groan bubbling up from her throat.
“Excuse me? Do you have to do that on the upper level? It’s just making a lot of noise, I’m pretty sure it’s possible to do on the lower, and I’m sure I’m not the only one disturbed by it.”
