The most you could ever do for me is send a simple ‘good-bye’ or ‘hello’ card to a random stranger on some random server.

All right, obviously everyone else out there can at least hear what is said within this server. Slightly creepy, I would say, but it is good to know.

All of what I’ve learned about our digital reality I learned from my father, who had, er, gone missing during our travels together. It’s...very much of a shame that he left so early. Computer science isn’t my cup of coffee; I’m a chemist at heart!

Maybe if I...I could have.....hm.

Anyway, what you say is true. The server is much more than science, containing a little bit of, and I shudder to admit this, magic within it. Which is something I am absolutely uninclined to learn because it is a horribly complicated and absurd field to study.

But about these messages...have you also been sending these to Stanbo and his Steve?
