I wanna kow about the silent hills, New Vera and New Gareth! What happened to the old Vera? And old Gareth? Why are they called the silent hills? I have so many questions!
Vera was an empire of technologically savvy androids thatused a special type of mineral to power all their technology. They were rathersequestered due to low population and lack of that mineral in other parts ofthe world, but eventually they sought more land searching for that mineral andinvaded the lands around them. The natives there fought back and the resultingconflict caused three old chaos gods to rise up and destroy the continentincluding Vera.
Now, Vera is a ruin, but there is a small population ofAndroids that live in an underground city state beneath their ruinedcivilization. They survived the chaos gods by cryosleep and as they occasionallywake up they are drawn to this settlement. They call the city New Vera.
Gareth was once a country that spanned a huge amount of landand was ruled by a noble class made up entirely of the Strix race (bird folk).Eventually the empire collapsed underneath its size and numerous regions roseup in rebellion and fought their way to freedom. The kingdom’s decline finishedthem off when Pyrecrest and Setassa burned their capital to the ground.
In the modern day, a number of Strix communities and atrading town called Fort Town make up New Gareth. New Gareth was founded fromthe area of land between two countries that had been fighting over it for avery long time.
