hi! just wanted to say that the reason why spike fits so well into buffy's home/life is because he MADE himself fit there! just look at his clothes in that gif, he's trying to look like somone she would like, which is just the most superficial stuff ofc, but the principle is the same as him getting his soul, he was willing to make changes and become someone that can fit into her life! (sorry for my random rant xd)

you're totally right, he made himself fit even though by his vampiric nature it doesn't make sense that he can. especially because buffy's home is such an amalgam of her life as she wishes it were and her life as it is as the slayer, and spike is not a chameleon really, so it's not that he's good at making himself what people want him to be, but rather than for buffy he will remake himself many times over. and with that scene in particular, it's so interesting how dressing in a way he thinks buffy wants isn't what makes him necessarily fit in in her life, it's still about him and who he is at the core!
