Minerva McGonagall and the Trio who finally returned to Hogwarts (because that's what I'm calling it from now on) is my new favourite film of the series!

It was amazing! I'm so proud of Maggie and her portrayal of Minerva and so glad they gave her decent screen time! I could not take my eyes off her everytime she was on screen! I've said it before but Minerva is truly my favourite fictional character ever and as I've recently formally declared Maggie is on the very top of my favourite actresses list. And for the record, McGonagall has ALWAYS been badass from the very start! And Maggie has been delivering her character flawlessly without fail way before she was stricken with cancer. Is it commendable that she filmed this during her recovery? Yes! Would it have been equally as commendable had she not been ill? HELL YES! This new or rather re-emergence of love for her is great and all but it shouldn't take news of her illness during the film to have brought it on. She should be eternally loved! She's always been a goddess since December 28, 1934. In short, the grand dame stole the show with her performance and my love for her is endless!

I'm sorry I'm long-winded but I have a lot of feelings about this woman and the character she brought to life so perfectly! She deserves all the awards and a universe named after her and everything good there is in this world! Thank you Dame Maggie. I may very well name one of my 6 daughters after you ♥

As for the rest of the film, OMG EPIC! The entire cast was wonderful! In particular I'd like to thank Alan Rickman for breaking my heart. I never imagined I would come to love Snape. And a great big thank you to everyone that was involved in the series, all the actors, crew, musicians, their mothers for giving birth to them, everyone! I don't feel like my childhood is over yet, probably because I have a delayed reaction to things but I'm just happy about it all :) And to JK Rowling, thank you for a most magical childhood. Your mind is a wonderful thing and a blessing!

My only complaint is this: NEEDS MORE MAGGIE! I can't wait to see it again tomorrow in 3D!

Now bring on Pottermore MINERVAMORE!

oh I just wanted to say that I simply loved your post about Pottermore being more Minervamore for you, it was so amazing to read that she is your fav fictional character, because she is mine too! i remember when i was a kid and started reading the first book, and i automatically fell in love with her, her badassness and everything! Then, still while reading the first books, i was like, hey, she and Dumbledore are DEFINITELY a couple (and I got almost 100% sure by that moment when they both carried Colin to the Hospital Wing in CoS, and they explained in a very interesting manner who found him... hahah :)now JKR destroyed my ship, but just a lil bit, because they are truly undestroyable. but actually, i am FREAKING out of excitement on what JKR will tell us about Minerva on Pottermore, holy cow, i can't fuckin wait, really! I think i'm gonna have a heart attack soon, too much excitement, the last movie and then pottermore... AHHHHHHHH!anyway, lotsa hugs to my fellow Maggie AND Minerva little freak,Magda from Poland

Hi! I'm really flattered that you, and other people even (was not expecting many notes lol), like the post so much! I was just honestly writing out my feelings about the whole situation and I'm so glad to find that other people feel the same way! Minerva is such a wonderful character and it's really about her for me because of all people, the person I want to know most about is her. And even though she is only fictional, to me she is very real, thanks to Maggie of course who brings her to life so marvelously, and she is a WONDERFUL role model for women because of her strength, loyalty, morals and all the other countless qualities that make her an amazing character, flaws included though there are few. You just don't get more kickass than her! And I will probably always ship her with Dumbledore regardless of what JKR says and even though my ship has sunk, I'm always on sinking ships anyways so no matter ... and that story of theirs was a bit funny eh? hahaha They were definitely ... up to something :D

I'm just so excited to learn more about her! EEEEEEEEKKKK! Pottermore Minervamore just needs to hurry up and get here now!

Oh look! I've written another long-winded essay about her LOL I just LOVE HER! Can we have a Minerva McGonagall class to take in schools? I would ace it! I suppose I am an obsessive freak when it comes to Maggie and Minerva hahaha :P NO REGRETS!
