So this was fun! During the session last night the party was completely numerically overwhelmed by the enemy, and were slowly trying to escape from the battle. The big bad boss on the enemy side used a screech attack that stunned half the party, and Cree, who had been the most emphatic about trying to get everyone to disengage from the fight and run please, got super pissed at him. Passing her own saving throw against the screech, and opting against any more sensible attack options like spells, she set a hunk of firewood from her pack ablaze with Prestidigitation and threw it at the enemy boss. And got a natural 20 on the attack roll. The flaming log hit the enemy boss right in the face. @rabbitthewriter joked that it would leave a scar on him, and @cpmtiger-art agreed to make canon.

A collaboration I did with the player of McGuiggan! He doesn’t draw, so I drew the sketch and lineart for his tarot card, and he colored and shaded it.

Last session, we had our first fight against elementals. Yaaaay. Long story short, some mephits and some winter wolves were arguing, things escalated, we fought the mephits, and they had an ice elemental buddy.

McGuiggan (played by my buddy, Riel) cast Faerie Fire earlier in the fight, making the ice elemental glow a pale red. We joked that it looked like a disco because of all the ice. Soon after, one of the mephits (the only one left in the fight, actually), cast Fog Cloud in an effort to make it harder for them to be hit. The mephit, the ice elemental, Cree, Hush, Dahlia, and Fracture were all in that fog cloud while McGuiggan and Anther were out of it. And because of the aforementioned Faerie Fire, light was shining through it. Then it really looked like a disco.

Nobody was really entertained.

A funny little head-image I got based on the previous session. McGuiggan was planning on just toughing out our trip to the Frostfell with a blanket draped over his shoulders. Fortunately, our elf ranger Anther has “arctic” as her favored terrain, and she absolutely wasn’t having that.

Busts that I drew for the three PCs in one of our DM’s other campaigns, which is running concurrently to and in the same canon as our own! Kindrin the gnome warlock, McGuiggan the half-elf bard, and Fracture the warforged rogue. They just recently finished their first adventure, which involved pirates, fish people, and flying ships- it was definitely a pretty awesome story!

Helping out the player of McGuiggan with art again! I mentioned a few posts ago that the party is going to a ball in the Feywilde soon, and this will be McGuiggan’s outfit for said ball.
