Monday, Oct. 31 -- The Results

Ending the week strong, the freshmen end TH15 year in fourth place.

Sophomores, the C14SS that surprised us last year, finish in third.

Juniors do way 13ETTER than previous years, receiving second place.

And last but not least, the seniors of course win FI12ST place.

Thanks for making this year memorable.  It's a wrap!

Wednesday, Oct. 26, 2011 -- Freshman & Senior Performances

As the Juniors met up in junior lot, two Seniors drove around them waving the Senior flag and blasting 50s songs.  Did they march?  I'm not sure.

Seniors stage a stand-in blockade to stop the marching Juniors, but since they weren't in sight, Seniors did their own march throughout the halls.

The Seniors' record arch in A-Hall collapsed, breaking in two.

Sophomores and Seniors tie for 1st place in Dress-up participation with 87% each, followed by Juniors in third place, and Freshman in last.

Seniors march in and cheer "You wish you were 1-2." But take a large amount of time and effort to get into their bleachers.

Numerous alumni present.

Spirit Check points and dance/skit performance points TBD.

Freshmen, who have gone unnoticed for a while, step up their game with a short but sweet skit in which their entire class, along with a few others recited the Mission Statement, earning them a standing ovation from the school.  With faculty members Ms. Hood and Mr. Shelley, it was really great acting.  And the cherry on top came with the surprise guest stars, the frosh football team coming from the boys locker room.

Brandon Villiados surprised Erin De Leon between performances by taking the microphone and revealing a huge sign and flowers asking her to the Homecoming Dance. She said yes.

Seniors finish the rally off with skit and dance, which from what I hear was "raw".  As a senior, I don't want to make any personal comments on it.  So whether it was good or not: it's up for you to decide!  Either way, I'm so proud of my class of 2012.

Tuesday, Oct. 25, 2011 -- Mariner Day

To everyone's surprise, the sophomores top the juniors in both skit and dance. (No offense to the sophomores.)

Although the judges were in favor of the seniors at yesterday's rally (3/4 chose seniors as the champs, and 1/4 chose sophomores), sophomores top the charts for Spirit Check #1 with 187 points, seniors following with 180, juniors with 175, and sophomores with 163.

The sophomores' sign falls in their hallway, as well as junior and senior decorations in the main stairwell. (And ASB's daily poster too?)

Seniors earn the most points for dress-up participation with 77%, whileother classes earned 45-65% participation.

By the end of the day, a mistake with Ms. Puccini's participation in the junior skit earns the Class of 2013 extra points, and thus beat the sophomores. (Points are rewarded or docked for having two faculty members in skit.)

In the words of Ms. Jana Kleczek on the point totals for skit and dance:  "Drama!"

Monday, Oct. 24, 2011 -- Sophomore & Junior Performances

Seniors have traditional breakfast at IHOP, but some kids leave because of the bad service.

Seniors march through the hallways minutes before the bell rings.

Sophomores lead the penny war with a massive amount of pennies, though the cash that the other classes put in their jug might tip the iceberg.

Sophomores stole the show with their bedrock car, but seniors used Papa G to crowd surf, winning the Spirit Check.

Seniors win best decorations, followed by juniors, sophomores, and freshmen getting second, third, and last, respectively. 

Seniors win most participation for Day #1 dress-up.

Juniors steal the show with a great skit and an amazing, visually-appealing dance and a catchy mix.
