You little hoebags better make me proud since I’m coming to your little singing shindig, especially since Miss Rose said she’d give me extra credit for just showing up and I’m all for that. And if any of you sound like the tone deaf freaks that I know you are, I will be more than happy to slushie you Monday morning for ruining my eardrums tonight. Good luck, kiddos.
It’s that time of the year folks! Heathers: The Musical will be coming to you this weekend! Dress rehearsals will be April 2nd and shows will begin on the 3rd and 4th at 7pm est with a matinee showing on the 5th at 1pm est! Ms. Fabray and Mr. Hummel-Anderson are super excited for everyone to come out and watch their students who have been working so hard for the past couple of months!
Now starting on Friday at midnight est all dash interactions will STOP and will be reserved for event interactions only and the dash will be open for normal interactions on Monday at midnight est! During this time we will play a game of after-party Never Have I Ever either on Friday, Saturday, or Sunday depending on when players are able to get on the most. Faculty and students will be able to participate with glasses of sparkling cider on hand at one Quinn Fabray’s townhouse where the (legal) after-party will be hosted. Even if you aren’t a part of the production, students and faculty are encouraged to come watch the musical and are open to coming to the after-party!
It’s that time of the year, folks! Hosted at the Williams McKinley High School of Performing Arts is this year’s Midwestern Ohio’s Regional Competition! Held in the auditorium, students in competing show choirs will be competing for a spot at this year’s Nationals which will be in *drumroll* Nashville, Tennessee! There will be five groups competing, three of which are WMHS own show choirs, but only TWO will make it to compete in Nationals. Under the cut, you can find each show choirs setlist.
The event will be held Saturday, at 5pm est and at that time all current threads must stop. From 5pm until midnight there will be new interactions and threads and starters basing around the regionals event. We will also have a fun interactive game in our event channel at 8pm est or just whenever there are enough people on.
And if you’re wondering, how can faculty members participate in this? Easy! With there being more than three choirs this year, we’ll need plenty of faculty to volunteer their services at concession stands, make sure timing is on track, help members with their costumes, and to keep an extra eye on things when our three glee club directors can’t. Good luck and we’ll see you next time at Nationals!

That’s right folks, this years spring musical is HEATHERS since it’s what members voted for. The musical is based on the 1988 cult classic that’s by the same name and then was turned into a musical in 2014 and it’s taken the world by storm ever since! Auditions will be held NEXT FRIDAY on FEBRUARY 7TH. The cast list will then be announced that following Saturday so you have from this Friday to the next to post your audition. Please include a link of the song your character will be singing along with stating their name, age, year, character preference, and what song the character will be singing. An example of this may be “My name is Ellie Parks, I’m seventeen years old, a junior, and I will be auditioning for Heather Chandler with the song Back to Black by Amy Winehouse.”
It can be as simple as that or you can do a small self-para, whichever you prefer! But a self-para may higher your chances of getting the role you want since we’d love to see the drive and ambition your character has for the character they are auditioning for!
If your character isn’t in any of the Glee clubs or drama clubs, but they are a part of the dance team or Cheerios, they will be a part of the dance ensemble for the musical. You also get bonus points for Quinn Fabray’s drama class if you just come out to audition as well!
Did you audition for the William McKinley High School of Performing Arts upcoming Spring musical, Heathers: The Musical? Well, luckily for you Ms. Quinn Fabray and Mr. Blaine Hummel-Anderson has reviewed all of their auditions, went back and forth, and have now put together a cast list for everyone who auditioned! Any parts that weren’t cast because of lack of auditions, they have been listed as NPC’s, but if you join after the cast list is announced, you’re more than welcome to just message the main with which NPC role you want to fill! Understudies are also listed and the cast list will move completely if someone drops out of the musical, a member leaves or drops their character, or if a character gets ill and has to step out for one of the performances.
Under the cut you will find all of the full casting list for students! Rehearsals will start on February 10th and go on until dress rehearsal on April 2nd. There will be shows on April 3rd and 4th at 7pm with a matinee showing on the 8th at 1pm.

In 5th place is Aural Intensity!
In 4th place is The Hoosierdaddies!
Second runner-up is The Trouble Tones!
First runner-up is Duly Noted!
That means New Directions is this year’s Regionals champion!
However, this also means both New Directions and Duly Noted are moving on to Show Choir Nationals in Nashville, Tennessee! Be on the lookout for more updated about that! Congratulations to all that came out and performed!
It’s 5pm est do you know what that means! Our regionals event has officially begun! At the current moment, all dash interactions MUST STOP and only starters and threads created beyond this point has to be relating to the event and the event only. We will have our event game at 8pm est but of course that can be before or after 8pm depending on how many people are on! Good luck at regionals and may the best teams make it through to nationals!
Auditioning for the musical seemed silly to Jaxon, he enjoyed watching a musical from time to time but he never really felt like he was the theatre kind of guy. Just a dude with his guitar enjoying music, but when he heard there wasn’t a whole lot of guys trying out and he seemed to be encouraged to audition he decided he might as well try it out. If he got a big part, cool. If he didn’t, that was also cool.
Hearing his name be called into the auditorium, he stepped into the cold, fairly dimly lit place and made his way up to the stage, his guitar strapped to his back. Stepping onto the stage, he sheepishly waved at the blonde drama teacher, rocking his feet back and forth. “Uh hey, I’m Jaxon Harmon. Spelled with a X, and I’ll be auditioning for JD and I’ll be singing Blackbird by The Beatles.” Singing Blackbird probably wouldn’t have been his first choice, but since he decided to audition last minute and he really didn’t know many musical songs by heart, he stuck with something he felt comfortable with.
Strumming his guitar softly to the tune, he began belting out the lyrics to the well known Beatles song and just as soon as he began strumming his guitar, he stopped strumming as he finished up the song. His nerves got to the best of him some, he had messed up a chord or two but overall he felt confident about his voice and hoped that saved him, since the character he was auditioning for didn’t have to play any instruments.
Following that, he set his guitar down on the ground and picked up a script from Ms. Fabray, reading the 7-Eleven scene, with Ms. Fabray reading Veronica’s part as he acted out JD’s part and weirdly enough, he felt more confident with his acting than with the song he auditioned for. Maybe it was because his nerves had seemingly wore off, but he really felt like he had a shot at JD or at least Ram Sweeney. After his reading, he nodded off to the drama teacher once more. “Thank you for your consideration and for listening to me butcher a Paul McCartney song.” He chuckled, before grabbing his guitar and stepping off of the stage, going on with the rest of his day.
