Architects - Mckluskys Kingston
The doors opened at 5pm, the band were on by 6 and I was in my car by 7:15... This was a strange gig! The rather late album launch show by Banquet Records at Mckluskys for Architects top 20 album 'Lost forever/ Lost together' was great fun. Despite the rather strange settings/stage times they put on a bloody good show. Architects have been around for a while, starting out playing mathcore then changing through several different variations of their sound until they settled on the metal core rattlings of their latest 2 albums. Blasting through new songs Naysayer, the Devil is Near and C.A.N.C.E.R. With brilliant ferocity they sounded the same as they do on record. Old favourites such as Follow The Water accompanied the new tracks and the band finished with Devils Island. The show was a blast, the crowd rocked out and Architects proved to be on top of their game, giving the strange gig their all. I can't wait to see them again.
