For @mclcathy. A one-shot of a three-way relationship between her Candy Cathy, Castiel, and my girl Evie. Please enjoy this fic, and her art. I dub this three way pairing SugarSpiceNotes.
Warning- Mentions of Nudity and sex are implied in the oneshot if you do not approve of this... well I am sorry. I did try to present these themes though as maturely as possible.
It’s been so long since they shared this. She’s shocked to be the first awake, but Cathy can’t help but enjoy it. Her pale grey eyes looking down at the nude and barely covered forms of Evie and Castiel. She finds no shame sitting bare as she watches them still sleep. She enjoys the early afternoon sun that’s leaking through the blinds, enjoying how it warms not only hers but their forms.
Evie is the next to awaken, struggling to open her eyes as she tries to bury her face in Castiel's neck before she pulls away. It’s rare for her to not be awake first, and Cathy enjoy’s it. The rarest of smiles appearing on her face as her female lover rises from their shared lover's arms, yawning ever so cutely as she rubs the sleep from her eyes. “Morning…” Cathy lovingly whispers, Evie tiredly turning to her smiles. Lightly puckering her lips as she closes her eyes. Cathy’s heart flutters and she carefully leans in, pressing a gentle morning kiss to the brunette's lips before pulling away, the two sharing a loving look before Evie final speaks.
“Did you sleep well?” Cathy nods at this, smile still bright on her face.
“You?” Evie nods in turn, her own smile bright as she carefully stretches in place.
“The best!” Looking down, both girls smile. Castiel still deep in sleep, they can only imagine how tired he must be.
He hadn’t been home in months and both girls had missed him greatly. Even after all this time together, the girl would always miss him, they loved each other but it was never the same without him. This was trio that was formed in high school, a love formed between two new girls and one lone boy. Although at the time they hadn't known it.
Evie and Cathy had been friends first, new and quiet they were, they found kinship in one another. With Cathy’s silent strength and Evie’s nurturing nature, the girls had bonded.
Castiel came right after, connecting with music with Cathy. Finding comfort in her kindness through Evie. The trio had slowly begun to fall, and they hadn’t even known it until it was too late. Cathy and Evie were torn, their friendship put to the test as they loved not only the same man but one another. Castiel as well lost and confused when he came to realized he was in love with two women he considered friends.
There was a tension for the longest time. None willing to act on their feeling, none knowing what to do or who to choose.
“I’m going to make him some breakfast, do you want to help or stay with him?” Evie quietly asked, Cathy humming as she thought it over.
“I’ll come… I’ll walk demon.” They carefully shift off the bed, and while Cathy finds herself forced to look for her clothes from the night before. She smiles though when she see’s Evie pull on Castiel's shirt from the night before. “No panties? Naughty~” She lightly sings, Evie turning to her with a teasing smile before she winks. It takes all of Cathy’s willpower to let her go, she’d talked to Castiel about getting the little minx later after all. They had all day to fully enjoy themselves and fully reunite.
Cathy remembers though how it is that they finally come to be, she remembers how she broke down when Rosa tried to pair her and Lysander up. Remembers how Evie jumps to her defense and tries to help her and Castiel come together. She remembers Evie breaking down in the process, how she confesses to wanting them both. Evie’s so innocent then, no idea about relationships and how they should work, torn between loving Cathy and Castiel alike. Cathy remembers feeling guilty, watching as Evie run’s off crying. She remembers breaking down more and Castiel trying to help her. It takes weeks, the trio is split. Evie unable to stay in place long enough for either Cathy or Castiel to catch her, Castiel and Cathy unable to look at one another.
Lysanders, Alexy, and Priya are the ones too surprising help fix things between them. Cathy remembers her surprise when Lysander speaks to her over the matter, remembers him giving his fullest support and how he believes that the three are a match. When Priya appears with Castiel’s she shocked to see him so flustered, and when Alexy soon follows with a very nervous Evie the three are unsure what would occur.
Yet when they leave, and only Cathy, Castiel, and Evie are left in the school’s basement, they skip classes that day. They talk for hour upon hour trying to figure things through, realizing where they stand what they want, they’re forced to share fears and it’s both a frightening as it is a relieving event. By the end of the day they are something, not a couple, but lovers, it’s new and confusing, and so exciting. Evie is the less experience of them and Castiel and Cathy make a promise to first get Evie up to speed. The relationship is supposed to be a secret but it’s hardly is one.
Everyone knows what they are as soon as the first weekends, no one says anything, they all seem to turn a blinds eyes. They are as lost of the trio and it helps, it’s a comfort, being able to both secretive about the matter yet so open as well. There are many bumps in the road, a struggle to learn a balance amongst themselves, a bit of jealousy every here and there. Yet it all works out in the end, they are going strong by the end.
Then it happens, both Evie parents and Cathy’s plan to move them away. The panic sets in, and it’s Evie’s more obvious issues that bring Cathy to the realization that they can’t go. That they can’t just separate, that none of them wants or even wants to try long distance. That the girls can’t just let their parents force them apart. It’s Evie’s idea but it’s Cathy who brings it up to Castiel, to move in together the three.
It’s a giant step for them, and when the parents find out verbal fight all but breaks out. Their parents are confused and angry. The girls stand firm though and Castiel stands with them, the parents give not long into it. The girls weren’t known for rebelling or asking for much, it benefits them in the end when convincing their parents. Castiel’s parents learn soon after, and unlike the girls own are more accepting much to the trio’s surprise. They trust their son, and they trust the girls, and in a little under a few months after graduating they share a bed, a room, a home.
“Hey.” She’s returning from the walk when she hears his tired voice. The smell of breakfast already permeating the air, the radio on as Evie lightly hums along some old rock song. He’s in nothing but his boxers, and smiling down at her from his place leaned against the kitchen open doorway. She lets Demon go, watches the old dog run up to his owner for affection. Castiel happily gives it, and Cathy can’t help but smile at how relax and less tired he looks now that he’s home.
“Breakfast is ready.” Evie’s proud call draws them in, Demon breaking away from his oldest owner so they can eat. Cathy watches as Castiel walks in, following close behind, she shivers when finds him passionately kissing a flustered Evie. She pouts and walks up to them just as he pulls away, she pulls towards her then. Evie giggling as she watches them share their morning kiss, “Someone’s jealous.” Evie suddenly squeaks and Cathy smirks when she see’s she’s jumped away, Castiel’s had grabbed her behind and he turns to her smirking.
“Getting a little cocky there aren’t you little girl?” She pouts and Cathy laughs. The trio all share breakfast and go over their time apart. The girls days with one another, work and school, as they miss him, and wait for his return. Castiel’s own pride at the progress he’s done in his career, as well as his frustration and regrets for being gone so long. Cathy picks up the plates to wash the dishes after the meal. Evie asks about plans, she wants them to be together if only for the day, and Castiel gladly expresses being off tour for a short time. Cathy almost drops the plates she holds, she looks at Evie excited grins at her. She can’t help but smile back, they were all together now. And for both Evie and Cathy, it was always better when they were all together.
