My theories about what’s next for New Gen!

Most of my theories will revolve around Jason’s route cause it’s the only one i played.

So, i think we can all agree that a kiss is imminent, if not next episode then episode 19 or 20. However the question is : will it be only a kiss or might we have a hot scene as well? Probably they won’t start dating right away.

For Jason, it would make sense : as some of you pointed out, Jason’s romance seems behind compared to the others, there’s a physical attraction, a sexual tension, that’s for sure but i’m not sure we can talk about real feelings for now. So to me, the tension will snap and they will kiss (maybe fuck?) and then say something like uhhhh this was a bad idea! but it will happen again and again because they just can’t help it before they admit they love each other and truly start dating.

I think it would be an interesting turn for the romance to have it start as only "physical" at first before it gets truly deeper (knowing they’re already kinda attached to each other). At least i think in Jason’s route it would make sense! And it’s also how a lot of real relationships start as well ngl, and knowing the complicated context of Jason’s route, i think it could be logical that the "what are we?" doesn’t have a clear answer right away.

As for the plot altogether, it’s hard to predict what might next. I think we’re probably gonna start characters’ arcs pretty soon but i have nooo idea what could happen. I sure hope for something dramatic though for once. Maybe Ioan could make an appearance right when the romance could start?

In any case, movie night seems perfect for a kiss or more hihihahahhuh

Edit : I also wonder what movie night implies exactly (knowing that movie night is my translation maybe the game translates it differently) like are we going to the cinema or are we watching a movie at home? Because that would make a big difference too lol

1- I would save my own twin brother from my own evil dad. No need to Candy.

2- I wouldn't be harsh on Ken/tin.

3- Forget Li and Charlotte, I want Rosa and Alexy as best friends again;;

4- Before Deborah and Candy's arrive I have to steal Castiel heart tho... I think I would need a strong long-term plan for this.

5- It would be important to help Lysander about his notebook, he is the purest and I NEED his friendship.

6- I would love to play games/watch anime with Armin, yes I want it so much.

7-Maybe 3 of us (Armin, Nath, Me - The Angel Amber) could play games in Nath's house on weekends or maybe I could go out for karaoke night with Armin&Alexy.

MCL NG Ep 16 edit

Did I just skip an episode? Yeah...

It's not that I didn't like the last episode, but I just didn't feel like editing the illustration. Maybe I'll finish it some other time. But I did liked this one, so I started editing when the episdoe was relased and I just finished now.

I did like the episode and how we got to find out more about Jason's dad. We also had a sweet moment seeing him so vulnerable. I like it when he's like that.

Some HC:

Believe it or not, Elizabeth also had someone she wanted to visit. It's her godmother, Meilah. She died when Elizabeth was very young.

Whenever they were at Jason's dad's grave, his mom was watching from afar. Elizabeth did see her but didn't know who she was.

She felt overwhelmed whenever Jason introduced her to his dad, that she shed some tears but quickly regained her composure.

At this point, Elizabeth pretty much likes Jason but won't confess since she thinks he will make fun of her or something, or use this against her.

08:15 pm

A black sports car was parked in front of the “Chez Marquis” restaurant. The driver checked himself in the review mirror, making sure everything was perfect. He looked at his new black suit and fixed his tie. He took a deep breath and got out of the car, going for the restaurant entrance with a confident attitude. The waiter immediately recognized him and took him to the table. He arrived first, of course. After all, he was the one who made the invitation. He had to be there to welcome the other party involved.

08:30 pm

A bike parks beside the black car. The man riding it immediately recognized the car. He looked at it for a second. He thought it looked good, but couldn’t see himself riding something like that. He did check himself in the reflection of the windows. His blue steel suit looked brand new, but it was just taken good care of even if he overwore it. The man checks with the waiter, and he goes to the destined table. The man waiting for the table gets up and shakes hands with the guest. On the table, there were already two glasses of sparkling water, one being emptier than the other.

-I almost thought you were going to ditch me, the man in the black suit strikes playfully.

-No chance, Jason, the man in the blue suit smirked. I’m surprised you called personally. I’m guessing you want to take care of this project PERSONALLY, he leaned over the table with the gaze fixed on the man in front of him.

His voice was low but soft. Jason felt his body warm. He didn’t think his guest would be this unnecessarily seductive.

-Well, this is a first for us, the man responded with the same tone.

The guest chucked for a second, thinking about the absurdity of the erotic connotation, then he tries to get into the subject of tonight’s dinner.

-I talked to our client the other day. I feel like this place is very suited for the event, and he agreed too. The man in the blue steel suit looked around, admiring the decorations and the structure of the restaurant. Perfect for a wedding.

-But isn’t it too small? The other man argued back. This is a restaurant for a small event, I’m sure we can find something more “grandiose”, he gestured his hand in an almost snobbish manner.

-I think this restaurant is “grandiose” enough. Just look, the guest gestured with his finger, pointing to different corners of the restaurant.

Jason looked around and couldn’t help but agree. The restaurant was indeed the most suited, but his competitive spirit got the best of him.

-Oh, please, I bet I can find something better, he said proudly.

The other man shrugged, not letting his pride get the best of him.

-Alright, I’ll give you 3 days to find a better restaurant.

-Of course. I will do that AND more. Just you wait, Devon, I bet I can even find one that has both great placement and great servings. Jason took a sip of wine, feeling his own ego inflated.

The other man at the table couldn’t help but smile. He found Jason’s childish provocation adorable. He also took a sip of sparkling water and continued his talk about the event. The conversation went smoothly, a bit too smoothly. Devon found it a bit suspicious the way Jason interacted with him tonight. Jokes, compliments, and laughter, it was as if they were old pals who just went for dinner together. On the other hand, Jason felt more relaxed than usual. He had this thing for a while. Whenever he saw Devon, it was like the world actually had colors. At first, he felt anxious, but at some point, he wanted to feel like this more and more, so he found any excuse to see him, and this was no exception. Although he might’ve underestimated how well he can handle Devon.

10:15 pm

The two men were eating their meal while discussing the event, this time in a more casual way. It seem that the idea of a wedding excited both of them.

-… And of course, the vows. It should be something personal and sweet, Devon says with a smile on the corner of his mouth.

-Yeah? Like what? Jason interjects with his usual remarks.

-Uh, well, something about their relationship and how it changed both of their lives. Promises, wishes…

-Care for a live demonstration? Jason smirked, knowing exactly what he was doing.

Devon chuckles and then speaks:

-Alright. Ahem, “Ever since I’ve meet you, my life was completely turned upside down. You made me realize so much about myself and I can’t help but to want to keep that going. I adore everything about you, your smile, your confidence, your honestly and how you keep me going. I promise to stay besides you, no matter what. I promise to protect you and help you whenever you need and of course, give you all my love. I love you”, Devon said without breaking eye contact.

Jeson felt his body warm again, and he swallowed hard. For him, it sounded like a real confession, as if Devon was actually referring to him. He looked away for a second, then looked back. Devon was still there as if waiting for a response.

-So, is this how-

-Me too... Jason responded, his mind blank.

It was as if he gave an automatic response. Devon looked confused, then awkward. “What does he mean?” he asked himself. There was a heavy silence between the men. Jason realized what he had said but hoped Devon would’ve caught on by the moment, too, but seeing his lack of response made him realize that it was a mistake… or maybe a perfect opportunity.

-Surprised? Jason regained his composure.

-A bit. Are you actually…

-Yeah. I’ve been like this for a while now. I just didn’t feel like it was necessary to say it out loud, at least, until now. I… It’s been a while since I’ve felt like this, let alone towards a man. I’ll give you time to think. Jason looks at his hands, avoiding Devon’s gaze. He was a bit anxious but hoped for the best.

-I don’t think I need time.

Jason then immediately looks at Devon, but his expression is the opposite of what he was hoping for.

-I’m not interested, nor I’ll ever be interested in you, Mr. Mendal, Devon said with a cold tone, looking very serious.

It seemed like Jason struck a nerve with that confession. He didn’t know what to say. He just wanted to disappear.

-I’m going then, Devon immediately got up, ready to leave, but felt something grabbing him.

-Wait! You’re just going to leave like that? Jason said a bit worried.

-Well, there’s nothing else to discuss.

Jason couldn’t argue with that, but at the same time, couldn’t let it go. “Why was he so cold? I thought he would play it cool or at least brush it off,” Jason thought.

-Do you think this is a game? Devon asks visibly irritated. First, you try to steal my project and now you think I’ll just jump in your arms?

-Why bring that now? It was ages ago. I apologized; Jason tries to defend himself.

-Not enough. If you think you can get under my skin with this scheme, you’re seriously wrong, Devon says almost shouting making some people turn their heads towards the two men at the table.

-Why would I want to do that? I don’t need you or your shitty company, Jason sneers.

He felt angry this time. He didn’t want to explain himself. Even with his heart broken, he didn’t want to have his ego broken too. Devon looked with disgust at the man who, one second ago, looked like a flustered teenager. He didn’t want to argue with him, especially in a public place.

-Let me talk with your secretary next time, Devon stated.

-Fine. I don’t even want to see you again… heh, in fact, next time I see you, I’ll crush you, Jason smirks, but his eyebrows were frowning.

-We’ll see, Devon responds with the same cocky attitude.

Jason got up and paid for the meal, not looking back. He hurried to his car and let out a deep sigh, then put his hand on his chest. He felt pain and couldn’t stop thinking about Devon’s words, then bit his lip until he felt the taste of iron in his mouth. “Just you wait, Devon,” he said to himself while clenching his teeth, then drove home.
